What did the Prequel Trilogy need?
Time
If you wanted to go the "no temple" route, you could have the Jedi be spread out all over the galaxy kind of like how the force is everywhere. This doesn't really work though because how would the empire wipe out the Jedi if they are spread out. Also, another idea I had is what if the Jedi have locations on different planets throughout the galaxy that have a crystal that would allow them to communicate across the galaxy. This would get rid of the idea of a centralized Jedi Temple. I got this idea from the Seven Seeing Stones in the Lord of the Rings.

I have a map of the Star Wars galaxy that I got in a Star Wars Insider years ago. If the story that is being planned requires a new planet just ask and I will pick one that best fits. Also, regarding the Jedi Temple I think it should be on Caamas. Caamas is right beside Couruscant and on the map I have it says the planet was destroyed 19 years before the Battle of Yavin. This is timeframe that the Jedi were destroyed in ROTS. You could put the Jedi Temple on this planet, and have the newly formed empire destroy the planet resulting in a mass obliteration of the Jedi. Yoda wouldn't be on the planet at the time because he would be on Dagobah, and Obi-Wan could be off planet hunting Anakin.

Question about the Prequels

He doesn't say he always planned this to be about Darth Vader since 77, you all just keep misunderstanding him when he says that even though he -didn't- always plan it to be about Vader, that he slowly realized that it alwas was as he went along.

Gomer this story isn't real and as such if it turned out to be about Vader it was George's own choices that made it that way. He didn't one day realize it was about Vader because a story is what you make it, and he whole heartedly decided to turn it into a story about Vader.

I have never heard that they shot scenes with peeves for the third film, it's not in the version of the script that I have read which does include Sirius breaking into the common room, and the much needed explanation from Lupin that they made the map and why the patronus is a stag.

I used to have this particular script, but when I cleared my hardrive it got deleted. Is there anyway I could get a copy of this? I would really love to have it again.

Lord Phillock, please tell me what program you are using to do redo the grading on these films. This looks fantasctic so far.

I use the good program called Vegas. It does many great and underrated things!

and thank you... I'm taking extra care in grading and editing of this... it will be extra special!

I have Vegas but I have never tried anything like color grading, maybe I should. Also, that Rivendell shot looks soooo much better!

Help Wanted: with my Episode II Edit's Opening Crawl....
Time
I think those few lines could be enough. One of the problems with the prequels is their lack of faith that the viewer can figure things out for themselves. You, the viewer, know that the republic has approved the army, because of the crawl telling you, so isn't it common knowledge that the republic would also want to keep an eye on its progress. Also, to pull off the idea that the force set up the meeting with Jango and Obi-Wan I don't think it is a good idea for us to to see Jango up close until Ob-Wan sees his armor in Jango's apartment. This would mean cutting out Zam's meeting with Jango at the beginning, which are completely unneccessary in my oppinion. By not seeing Zam sending the droid to Padme's apartments it would create suspense, because you don't know who is trying to kill padme. Then you find out it is Zam and then she is killed right when you feel that the Jedi have stopped the danger. Hoped the last part about Zam makes sense.

Couldn't you just cut out the saberdart mystery subplot. Just make it so Obi-Wan is going to Kamino to check the progress of the clone army, and make sure it is on schedule. When he first arrives at Kamino they ask Obi if he is there to check on their progress, and Lama Su tells him they are on schedule. Also when Obi-wan visits Jango's apartment he sees his armor and recognizes it as the same armor the assasin wore on Couruscant. This would make the meeting of Jango seem like a event that was set up by the force. Because if you remember Qui-gon said some meetings are not by chance. This would simplify things alot.

Star Wars: REBORN - The Complete Saga (* unfinished project *)
Time
There is a project that is going on right now over at TF.N's forums that is exactly like this. The copy cat edition from TF.N is no where near as complex as this project, but it still pisses me off that they are coming over here stilling ideas and acting like they thought them up all by their self.

Here is the link to the projects page on TF.N:
