The older Star Wars games were great back in the day, and are still pretty good by today's standards. Games like X-Wing and TIE fighter were some of the best Star Wars games ever made. Dark Forces and Dark Forces II were pretty good, even if they were basically DOOM knock-offs with Stormtroopers and Jedi powers. But no, Lucasarts hasn't made a good Star Wars themed game in years.

The Knights of the Old Republic and Republic Commandoe are great games.

If you can pull option 3 off successfully, I say go for it. But if you can't option 1 or 2 is fine, because I never really thought about the amount of time that had passed.

Now I feel like crap. I asked what you were talking about, because I thought it was something new from starkiller. I am so sorry you thought I meant I could seed it, but since I haven't downloaded it, I can't. But to keep your hopes up I will ask around and see if I can find someone to seed it. Hope this will help some.

Darth Neo and the community in large let me apologize for my rude behavior last night. I am sorry about my drug addict analogy ( deleted content), and for anything else I said that offended you or anyone else. I was in a bad mood, had a headache, and had had no sleep. What's up with the Vader action figure? Do you think Lucas shot some new footage, maybe dual footage, while he was filming ROTS. Maybe Lucas wanted to make the damage to Vader from the Emperorer's lightning to be more evident, so he shot some new footage of Vader getting electricuted. This would make it seem like Vader definitely died from the lightning. Also, if you look at the Vader action figure's cloak it has holes in it from what appears to be burns, and the helmet looks like it has exploded. The helmet exploding is consistent with an old ROTJ poster that showed Vader's helmet breaking into pieces like it had exploded. It would be very easy to digitally alter the suit and Vader's body to make it look more damaged from the lightning. I know Vader's helmet exploding would contradict the unmasking sequence later on, but I am sure Lucas would try to make his new idea work at the expense of the existing elements and plot. This is just me speculating, because with Lucas you never know what he might do next.

That bit of footage has been around since ROTS was being made. It is Obi-Wan fighting off Grievous' guards on Utapau (sp). This sequence was cut from ROTS and replaced by Obi-Wan dropping that crate thing on the guards.

The one thing I would love to see in the Ranch edit is Sidious not showing up until episdoe 3 when palpatine reveals himself as sidious. That way throughout the whole PT you don't really know who is in charge of the sith and who is manipulating everything. Then when Palpatine reveals himself as the dark lord of the sith (sidious) it is a slap in the face and you understand he is controling everything. And even then you could cut it so that you don't know that this sidious is also the emperor from OT until he fried by his own lightning and reveals him as his true form. Hope that made sense.

I have heard adywan say that he would like to do the entire OT. But I don't know if he is going to go from ANH directly into editing ESB, or if he will take a break. If he takes a break from his project we could possibly get him to help the Ranch. I just don't want to hold his OT projects back in the process. Maybe someone else can do visual effects if adywan can't, but he would be one of my first choices for this.

I don't know how many of you all know this but in April of 2009 in America standard ( that being not digital ) cable is going to be stopped and switched over to digital and all broadcasts switched to widescreen format. Also most of the channels are going to upgrade from 480p to a higher resolution. This was announced last year. So after 2009 people will have to start buying HD widescreen televisions. Congress approved this so it is happening. And I have confirmed this with my local cable company. Eventually 1080p will be the standard.

I know that not everyone can afford these programs, so is there any interest in even having me write a tutorial? I don't mean to hi-jack this thread. so maybe I'll just forget the whole thing for now.

Please write a tutorial. I have searched and searched for a good tutorial, but so far haven't found a good one.

I see what you mean and agree. Just remove the tatoos once he is off the planet. That would be easier than removing the tatoos from the entire movie.
