I’ve been active here for a month. 109 posts so far but no accidental double posts and not one mark down syntax error. Seeing others make those posts, sometimes twice in a row, is what inspired my username and I’m actually beginning to feel a bit left out.

I’m a failure. It’s happening to everybody else but not me. I’m starting to think it might never happen for me.

Please Google “Star Wars revisited”. You will find among the top results a link to a Wordpress site where you can find out EXACTLY how to download. Alternatively, you will also find, on either that site or your initial Google results, a link to the Facebook page where you can use the forum to find out how to download. It’s all been made quite straightforward, you just need to do a bit of reading 😃

Why does every thread in this place go hilariously off track so quickly these days? It’s brilliant, keep it up guys!

Anyway, just to play devil’s avocado for a second. Perhaps all involved didn’t have time to record one? These are legitimately busy people after all. Maybe there just wasn’t time before the mass production of the discs began to get it done. There’s a 3D release apparently coming before the end of the year so that could have a commentary on it.

Or maybe they decided the bonus disc documentary said everything they needed to about the movie? It did seem quite comprehensive.

I did miss seeing the trailers on the blu-ray. I occasionally go back and watch the OT and PT ones and the print campaigns were fun too. There was nothing at all on this release though - I suppose the powers that be decided against it because everything’s up on YouTube these days.

The early 80’s - Star Wars and Empire on tv and the figures and books and Return of the Jedi sticker album until 1985 when my dad took me to a triple-bill showing. It’s been in my life for literally as long as I can remember!

I’m pretty sure it’s been on Film4 in the UK and that would’ve been an HD broadcast for sure. I’d say it’s definitely out there, just a matter of finding it!

I actually find it quite inspiring such a young person is so interested in creating physical puppets. It looks like the video is rather popular so hopefully the right person will see it and give this artist the job he deserves.

Wow, I didn’t know it was cropped. I had always thought it was made with the cinema in mind (for some reason, can’t think where I got the notion from).

A proper blu-ray release of the animated series would be amazing. But there’s, what, forty or fifty episodes absolutely covered in specks and dirt that would need a huge amount of time spent on cleaning up? I can’t see it happening, not now.

Just out of curiosity - there’s an instance in one of the episodes on DVD having a “five years later” (or somesuch) caption zoomed way, way in that’s clearly the result of some bad scanning. I can’t remember which episode it was but if anybody else noticed it do you know if it occurred on the tv airings as well?

I thought that computer Frink was a laugh. What with all the genuine nastiness going on at the start of the month (and before that too) I think his unrelenting ridiculousness was much needed.

I can understand why some people got annoyed because Frink sometimes gets a bit carried away but at the end of the day he’s always the one constantly dependable poster on this forum. Without him here, computer or not, there’d be a lot more folks taking things a lot more seriously than they should.

That’s just my two penneth anyway.

I can’t even begin to understand your motivations and what it does for you because I don’t drink. I never got a taste for it and none of my family really drink. I’m not anti-booze or morally superior or anything, I just think it’s gross.

I know I’m new to posting here but you lot aren’t new to me! I’ve been reading you for many years and I want you to all be happy because you, with the obvious notable exceptions, seem like good people. I just worry when I hear you talking about doing harmful things when you’ve got the option not to (if that makes sense.)

Only if you sit there and compare the two! Eventually everything is going to look shoddy compared to the latest new thing. As far as modern standards go, I’d say that in most viewer’s homes a 720p movie on a big screen telly (especially when given Adywan’s care) is going to look perfectly good.

Maybe once a super-duper-brand-harry-spankers new official version is released on ultra HD some fan editor will do what Ady has done again.

I, personally, don’t plan on going past 1080p HD for the foreseeable future so the fact the Revisited Saga is “only” in 720p doesn’t really bother me.

I’m hugely impressed with all your work here. Really well done! I don’t think the new Leia on that cover fits very well though. She’s looking off in an odd direction and the style isn’t meshing with the rest of the characters Struzan drew(!)

But honestly, like others have said, it looks so good it could be an official release.
