Hopefully not. The removal of the eyebrows corrects an error during shooting of ROTJ. There are the bad changes and there are the good changes, the “eyebrows correction” belongs to the latter [edit: not “later”, otherwise you miss the incredibly funny joke below]. I don’t mind them in Rebels because they “better read in animation”.
By the way Hal, are you still planning to release a v4.2 of II-TAS using a regraded bluray video stream or has your project died with the “day-for-night” sequence issue ?
I’ll start with an online petition. I’ve read somewhere that JJ Abrams only shows unedited posts to his kids.

We hardly see those costumes in the finished movie. Most of the costumes are very well-made in the PT, it’s just that the artistic choices are questionable.

ROTS Antilles (Rohan Nichol, 29 yo in 2005; 40 yo in 2016) is now the same age of ANH Antilles (Peter Geddis, 40 yo in 1977). Both don’t look alike so I’m not sure they would take Rohan Nichol, but if LFL has now a strict “continuity policy” (Bail, Mon Mothma, Vader’s suit and helmet) they could hire him.

Well, for one his body looks way to small for the armor. The chest box is attached to the leather suit with no straps (and once again has different button/light colors). The belt has some minor differences. The shoulder &a chest armor is an all new one-piece design that doesn’t look as cool and doesn’t allow him to actually raise his arms. It’s also much wider than Hayden’s actual shoulders in an attempt to give Vader the proper shape/size.
Over all the the ROTS suit is just a weird thing that doesn’t get the “feel” of the classic Vader suits thanks to a lot of the updates and modernizations. And it also has a weirdness from trying to make a person who’s clearly too small fill out a larger person’s armor.
Yeah, ok ! I’ve been looking for a comparaison slideshow but there does not seem to be one on the net; there is one for the helmet and on for the chest boxes (ROTS and ANH display very close chest boxes by the way) but none for the other elements of the suit.

I’m not a Vader purist, but I can tell that he looks good on this card. But I don’t mind the 3 (4 ? ESB and ROTJ have the exact same look, haven’t they ?) Vader looks we’ve seen so far. He’ll probably just appear less than 5 minutes in Rogue One anyway.
Revisionism or not, midi-chlorians are a bad idea. And the fact this is never mentioned by Ben or Yoda in the OT shows it was a useless idea to explain what the Force was. That being said, it’s not even clear what midi-bullshit really are : biological side effect of being strong with the Force or cells that give one’s Force sensitivity ?
The most interesting thing is how the Rogue One story is connected to the PT era:

Could be fun if LFL decided to produce a Clone Wars story arc based on this new material regarding the DS construction near the end of the conflict. A slight temporal weirdness of ROTS could consequently be corrected. But still, the CW during only 3 years and a few months always seems a little bit short for me.

Not much of a surprise. We don’t get to see him in Rebels, he’s only heard. So he’ll probably only be mentioned in Rogue One. It seems Disney tries to keep the OT progression of the Emperor reveal. Which could also mean that Lord Vader is going to have only a handful of minutes on screen.
You’re making an AOTC edit with color corrected bluray ? What are you going to change compared to Hal’s version (I’m curious).
Well not a lot. My initial plan was to just make it for myself but I’ll probably end up sharing it.
But the changes are minimal, and maybe not the most popular stuff - notables being the reinsertion of the droid factory sequence, some of Jar Jar’s dialogue, the Death Star plans, the name Tyrannus - and some little trims - Obi-Wan embarrassing Anakin, changeling stuff. Weird little things I know but like I said it’s for myself, and the main reason is for the color anyway.
About the changeling stuff, I’m not a big fan of the “Kamino… system…” redubbing so I’ve been toying with an idea since the release of Hal’s v4.1. I don’t intend to alter Hal’s video edit which is to my taste 99.99% as good as it can be, but I’ve made a few minor alterations to the audio track only (like removing most of Lars eulogy - leaving only the music for the wide shot -, Padmé’s complaining in the sand before a clone trooper talks to her), including the changeling scene. So I’ve put back the weird alien voice (I leave the “Kamino… system…” subtitle, assuming Obi-Wan knows a few alien languages), and then I tried to change the “toxic dart” line by “Kamino system”, taken from the deleted sequence with Mace Windu (“this kamino system”). It works good (it really seems to be synchronized to Ewan’s lips movement) but there is a slight “whistling” sound (originated from the “this” part that I’ve removed) I can’t get rid of. Reduction noise delivers a mutted metalic sound I don’t like. Any idea how to improve that ?
Another idea I’ve tried: when Padmé meets Anakin after 10 years I don’t like the “Ani !” line, so I took the “Anakin [this is my sister Sola]” from the family deleted scene to replace it; again there is a slight music in the background that I can’t hardly remove. It kinda works otherwise but I don’t think I’m really going to keep that change.
