I’m looking forward to seeing it. I actually think TFA is not as good as I first thought, because while the acting and directing is spot on, the plot doesn’t make sense.

I would say some of the acting is actually really bad. Ford had some very awkward movements. Though to his defence, some of the dialogue/situations were just embarrassing to begin with.

His acting in TFA is head and shoulders above the phoned in performance he gave in ROTJ.

Quite the opposite. It even makes his acting in ROTJ look good.

Ford 1983 v Ford 2015 is a cripple fight. He sucks in both movies.

STAR WARS: REBELS (animated tv series) - a general discussion thread
Time

I don’t think the ones in charge of the movies do care that much of the tvseries. Ok, a minor TCW character will be a minor Rogue One character, but seriously who would think that a kid-oriented tvseries is going to show the premice of the Snoke character, hence destroying one of the subplots of Ep VIII ? I highly doubt they would do that (has Ryan Johnson written a season 3 episode ?). The show needs to focus on its own plots (including loose ends of TCW, such as Maul/Obi-Wan, Anakin/Ahsoka and so on), everything else they’ve tried to do wasn’t that great so far.

STAR WARS: REBELS (animated tv series) - a general discussion thread

After watching the last (bad) episode, I was wondering: why is this show about Jedi/former Jedi, Padawan/former Padawan, Vader, Sith/former Sith, etc. and so little about the rebellion ? It’s time they get back to rebellion business, I’m so tired by this “Force” plot that is not quite coherent with what we’ve seen in the movies so far.

There is not a single thing in the PT that is better than TFA. Fact.

Well… no. I can think of at least 3 major points that are better in the PT movies than in TFA. Music, narratives, global aesthetics (a fourth would be: no squirrel face in the PT). But this has already been discussed so many times I don’t even understand why people stick to their “it’s a FACT !” motto, whether you agree or not. Replace “Fact” by “imo” it works better.

Ranking the Star Wars films
Time

Not much has changed since last time (with grades):

 1. ANH: 10
 2. TESB: 10
 3. ROTJ: 8.5
 4. ROTS: 6
 5. TPM: 4.5
 6. TFA: 4
 7. AOTC: 2
 8. TCW (cgi movie): 0.5

And I would still give something like 7/10 for Hal9000’s PT as a whole. An extra 0.2 would also be given to his TFA-Lone Star Edition.

The “Clone Wars” Tartatovsky’s animated series taken as a 2h15 movie would get 8/10.

That’s easy. Just travel back in time to the early '80s, kidnap Lucas, drop him off at a deserted island somewhere, then place Gary Kurtz in charge of the franchise.

At least by leaving the saga he got the opportunity to show us what he had in mind for the PT.

2003 Clone Wars vs 2008 The Clone Wars

Forced sarcasm is the death of humor… and badass Windu destroying battle droids is fun, not dumb. And it’s only 3 minutes action sequence (which begins and ends with a great idea by the way, so “dumb as hell” does not quite define this sequence) in a 135 minutes show which contains the best scenes “Star Wars” has offered since TESB (things like Anakin v Ventress). So ok, just remember the (epic) Windu thing you don’t like and don’t enjoy the show as a whole, your loss.
