As for the TV series, I’ve heard from friends that it’s decent
It’s only decent when it uses Vader, Tarkin or Ahsoka Tano. Original characters of the show are completey failed. And it looks cheap compared to TCW.

But it was well known that TFA-3D was scheduled for christmas 2016, in order to make more money with people buying the 2D version AND the 3D version a few months later (Disney has such respect for SW fans, we all know that…). Some people here went crazy about “It would make so much sense to release a boxset of 4-5-6-7, it’s got to be that”. Yep, we’ve all seen that… And also the “Disney gave 4 billions to GL so now they are going to release the OOT, they didn’t use his script for 7-8-9 it’s a proof they don’t care about him !, it’s going to be for 2015… well, 2016… well, 2017… well… etc”.
(some just forgot that 2017 is as much SW 40th anniversary as it is SW SE 20th anniversary…)
Disney just made 2 very bad SW movies in a row, I don’t consider them to be the Guardians of the SW Temple I have wished for. They are business man, that’s all. Bad movies, no OOT, nothing of value added to the SW canon (even things removed and then recycled… badly recycled, see Thrawn in Rebels), bad tvseries, etc. Well done Disney, you’ve done worst than GL himself and it only took 2 years !

I’m currently watching ENT and TNG. ENT is not that bad but it doesn’t have the quality nor the density of TNG (it might sometimes top the best TNG episodes of seasons 1-2… from time to time… I don’t remember if it goes that higher during seasons 3-4). I still find ENT to be more pleasant than Voyager (except when it comes to the Seven-of-Nine episodes). Maybe Archer is less stupid than Janeway, might be that.
Well the Rises one might not be great but Rogue One doesn’t sound like a SW movie but rather like a SW video game. If you take the time to make a crawl you could push it to make a new title. Besides I like the fact that fanedits have an alternate title.
Since “hope” is the theme, why not: A Spark of Hope ? Or Stardust memories… oh… well…
This might be the curious feeling I… felt: 70’s footage into a 2010’s movie. It was like the ROTS trailer that used alternate footage of Ben telling Anakin story in ANH. The images don’t mix well.

Rogue one is a bad title, not starwarsie at all. If you want to include a crawl, change the title as well. Call it… well… A Spark of Rebellion, or The Rebellion Rises, something like that.
Red and Gold kinda look waxy in the R1 shots. During the screening I thought “oh other CGI recreations, but they look more human than Tarkin though”.
Are you thinking about adding the animated Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars into the mix ? His 2 hours cartoon basically contains everything that was necessary for a prequel film (some Clone Wars battles; powerful antagonists - Ventress, Grievous -; Ben and Anakin best pal; Anakin being knighted; the journey to look oneself in the mirror; you even get a Jedi building her lightsaber and badass Jedi knights; the only missing thing would be an Anakin and Owen Lars scene).
You do take a swan dive in terms of quality jumping from ESB to Ep1.

The entire prelogy exists in 3D. TPM got a theatrical re-issue. AOTC got a “SW celebration” screening, and ROTS has never been showed (and would be the best entry to use 3D). I don’t know if 4-5-6 has been converted (but if they are scanning them in 4k quality they could push the work to make 3D versions out of them… however I don’t really see the point).
Now that you mention it: Rex could have been somewhere at Yavin base ! (well, Rebels is probably going to “correct” that).
