Yeah there's a lot of hoods in SW ;) but I was meaning a saber-wielding main villain with a mask like that.

I'm agreeing with you guys about the saber. The inspiration taken from Darth Revan doesn't bother me really (something we haven't seen in the live-action films before) but that claymore-saber with the mini-sabers, as already said, doesn't quite look right and appears unpractical in a few ways. I'll give it credit for being different, but that's all for now. I'd sooner rather see a blaster and saber built together as one; that would be much more practical.

MakingStarWars describes the villain as looking like a crusador knight, so IF we do see that saber, or preferably a variant of it (anything BUT mini-sabers for the crossguard), here's hoping it will actually impress us and change our minds about it :)

But since The Hobbit is not a Disney movie I think that they will launch the teaser with ''Into the Woods'' just to get more people into a Disney movie, I don't discard the teaser being attached to the Hobbit AFTER Into the woods premiers on the 12/25

Yep, that's what I'm thinking too.

I'm unsure, what do you guy make of this possibly leaked concept art for a VII villain here?

STAR WARS: EP V &quot;REVISITED EDITION&quot;<strong>ADYWAN</strong> - <strong>12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW</strong>

Woah, that's incredible!

The 3D printer tech is still fairly new to me, so I don't know of its limitations or possibilities, but I've heard it can do almost anything. Is resin not too expensive?

That's gotta open up another door of possibilities for Revisited, not to mention it'll save Ady a great deal of time :)

Just cast one of those babies in pink resin, have costumed Vader holding it in that same pose with a thumbs up, and have the tag line "Scrubbing the SE clean".

LOL

So a member from the Revisited team owns the 3D printer? That is indeed a very cool custom Revisited logo. Through this, I wonder what other creations might be made for Revisited - I'm sure there are some ideas.

I sense a great deal of pessimism in this thread.

And it's totally understandable, if we could imagine that this thread is happening 15 years ago before TPM came out I bet that everyone would be in a orgasmic joy since all the reasons to think that the PT is going to be equal or better than the OT are there: Same guy who created SW is behind the PT... what could go wrong?? Then 15 years later, here we are wondering what the f*** George did. I think that we all disagree at some point on how bad the PT was but we all agree that the PT IS worse than the OT.

It's funny if you come to think that the fact that Lucas isn't behind the ST is actually what creates a good expectation because we don't know if it's going to suck or not, if Lucas were the man behind the ST as he was on the PT we would be far more pessimistic.

I understand that many people are bitter about the PT, and rightfully so. After years of disdain towards them, though, it should also be understandable that the people who are currently involved with the SW films know what's at stake here. JJ Abrams, who is a huge, life-long SW fan, certainly gets it and has tried on occasions to reassure us of this. Even certain "leaks" have been promising.

At least to me, I feel anyone who's a fan of SW would try to look forward to this optimistically, be open-minded, and have enough faith that JJ, Kasdan, Williams, the old and new cast, and everyone else involved are genuinely trying to make something as comparable and exhilarating as the OT.

Not saying it has to be or will be loved by everybody, because inevitably it won't be (same is true with The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, or ANY film), but give it a fair chance if you truly are a fan.

Don't let the PT get in the way of you wanting to enjoy any more SW that you loved so much before...

I would have less of a problem with them CGing Alec and using Ewan's voice than using Ewan entirely.

I don't think he would agree on doing that. First it is kinda humiliating for him as an actor. And more importantly it would be kinda stupid to just use a dead actor's appearance (without his consent, which cannot be obtained anyway of course).

If that was the case, Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, and a boat load of other dead actors wouldn't be earning their families/estates money today.

...

Audrey Hepburn is another honorable mention :)

I hope Luke isn't the baddy for VII (nor Leia). However, it sure would make for a tragic story about someone we care about if he did turn bad. Sound vaguely familiar? It's exactly what the PT should have set up for the OT, where we should have cared a great deal for Anakin (just as we do Luke) and then by ESB we learn for the first time he's actually alive AND the villain. Is that what JJ is trying to do, 1up Lucas? Again I'm hoping it isn't the case - to me it would undermine what Luke went through in the OT, VI especially - but we'll see. Whatever happens, I'm expecting it to be done well.

Warwick Davis is set to return in VII, according to here. He did make a cameo appearance in TPM as a brand new character, so his involvement in VII doesn't automatically mean we'll see Ewoks. But then again, it could happen, if a certain villain is indeed to "Alas, poor Yorick" over Vader's helmet. I won't mind the sight of Ewoks, so long as they're done right: more as cunning hunters and less cute n cuddly.

Very sorry to hear about your loss of work aalenfae. That's happened to me before in the past, with various unrelated hard work I've done. Lesson learned: not only do I keep backups but I keep backups of backups.

I'm very glad this didn't get you down. I thoroughly enjoy your work and I'm still looking forward to more that you cook up!

That is indeed one of the best finds posted in this thread. I was clicking through those concept arts multiple times like mad.. so awesome! Absolutely loved the one inside a throne room, with the cloaked villain sitting to the far left where his lair is red and the hero is approaching through the door from the right where bluish light is coming in - very symbolic and the art says it all what's happening. I really really hope that exact style of shot will actually be in the film.

.....And not just for that scene, but I feel Revisited will also need a Luke-alike for when we have (we must have) an extended showdown between Boba and Luke. At least it won't be difficult to find someone who has a Fett costume.

But since Boba won't be in ROTJ:R, we won't have to worry about that.
YAY! XD

Last I heard, Ady is wanting to give Boba a better and definite death. Unless he's changed his mind since then?

I can understand some of the points for removing Boba from ROTJ, but to me there are more points in favor for keeping him in. One of them being it's an opportunity to actually show him being a badass hunter that he has the reputation for - let him shine before he dies (with more dignity) - fans of Fett will likely appreciate this more than just deleting him. I have a detailed outline to share for how it could possibly go down, but I'm waiting for when the time is right and Ady is ready for suggestions.

I just saw something on facebook that made me think....Could it be possible to refilm some of the Luke v Vader duel in ROTJ:R? I think it is if you don't show the actor who is playing Luke. I mean the duel in ROTJ was okay, but the choreography was weaksauce even in comparison to the ESB duel. There is even a part in the duel where Luke and Vader do the same exchange for like 5 seconds. I think with some enhancements this could be the greatest duel in the OT bar none.

I know exactly which part of the duel you're referring :) And yes you are right, their duel definitely needs more prowess in some areas. I do not know for how much Bob Anderson was involved in the ROTJ lightsaber fights, but I wish it was more. I believe it can be helped for Revisited though, with the correct method of filming. Since they already have a Vader, next they'd need to put a call out for a Luke-alike with some athletic abilities.

And not just for that scene, but I feel Revisited will also need a Luke-alike for when we have (we must have) an extended showdown between Boba and Luke. At least it won't be difficult to find someone who has a Fett costume.

I don't want to see any more fights with droids, really..

I don't want to see lightsabers used the way that they were used against droids in the prequels. When an army with blasters comes at you, you use a blaster.

Have you seen Star Wars?  Do the words "clumsy" or "random" mean anything to you?

That was according to the guy who said that Vader betrayed and murdered Anakin, and Luke didn't seem very clumsy and random when he was shooting Stormtroopers on the Death Star.

All-in-all, I think it depends on who we look at. If it's the Stormtroopers and Jabba's henchmen, then yeah often times blasters appear clumsy and random. But if we look at everyone else, they're pretty decent if not great shots - Han especially. Therefore, we can't necessarily fault the blasters.

Now let's look at Obi-Wan. Only once have we seen him use a blaster, and how many times did he have to shoot Grievous? Several, all at point-blank-range and inconsistent... lack of confidence and skill if you ask me. Before that, I wouldn't doubt it if the last time he held onto a blaster was when he was a Youngling and shot his right foot's big toe off. Of course Obi-Wan will have all sorts of unfair bias against blasters XD

Related and back on topic: something I do not want to see in VII (or for that matter, in any more SW) are bad guys or anyone who are terrible shots, ESPECIALLY if they should have had the training and experience.

And while I'm at it, no more Imperials always saying "Freeze" when instead they should have taken their shot.

No one saw a lighsaber in ESB apart from Luke & Vader

Nah, you mean to tell me with something as perfect for cutting through stuff, let alone snow and ice, Luke didn't once use his lightsaber to help carve out the insides for Echo Base?? :D

But seriously, those were excellent and very interesting finds:

Somebody making good use of fallen Imperial remnants; people being in awe of a gleaming sword of light (in contrast to the Cantina in IV, where the aliens there were just "meh.."); the alien who helps Daisy's character (possibly one of Serkis' characters?); a new and updated droid (gives R2 some competition and a chance to prove he "still has it"); Sydow's character who can relate to the past (with the injuries he sustained, a former Imperial officer who is now neutral would be interesting).

I can definitely see all of those happening. I really hope so.
