I want you guys to post you options on who is the best flim critic. My favorite is Rodger Ebert and Leonard Maltin also Richard Roeper.

jimbo I agree with what you said. people need to stop critizing George Lucas for the changes for the dvds of the original trilogy. Some people like the new changes to dvds. people who wine and cry about the changes are die hard fans of the original version of episode 4,5,and 6. my ponit is stop critizing lucas for the changes he's only doing them to imporve the story and be happy that the star wars trilogy is coming out on dvd sep. 21st 2004.

I would wellcome the changes made to the movies for the dvd's as a positvie thing let's just hope lucas does'nt go over the edge and put a hole bunch of new stuff in.

I think the extras on the 4th dvd of the star wars trilogy are great and I can't wait to get the dvd's when they come out september 21st. I allready pre-ordered mine at suncoast.

I think the changes in the sound for the star wars trilogy on dvd will be minor I mean yes it will be dolby digital 5.1 surround ex but the only sound effects ben burtt and skywalker sound are going to re-do is some foley sound effects. But other than that I'm sure the sound for the dvd's will be great.

Jedi Master DJR what I can't understand is why are some people so upset with george lucas releasing the special edtions of the original trilogy on dvd on september 21st. I mean I think some people belive that the original version will never be released I think they will be some time in the near future and Jedi Master DJR I don't repeat every post I make it just some time I do. I just have an opion like everybuddy else.

I heard from theforce.net that at screening of the star wars se at the afi that the sceen originaly where obi-wan's lightsaber goes of for 5 sec. has been fixed and where the blast doors close vaders lightsaber glowing red not white any more so may the lightsabers will be fixed for the dvd of the ot but who knows.

Jedi Master DJR, I Think that george lucas is a great flimmaker and I like most of the changes in the special edtions except for the greedo shoots frist sceen. I truely hope that mr. lucas would reconsider releasing the special edtions and release the original cuts as well. Besides I agree with lucas saying he was not happy with the original versions of the flims and he want to fix them and have them be completed. I think the special edtion prints look a lot better than the originals and the dvd's of the classic trilogy will look great.

Jay I agree with what you said in this topic. I will buy the star wars trilogy when it comes out in on september 21st on dvd. I think that some people are making a big thing about george lucas not release the original cuts. That's just my opion. I like the special edtion because it sound better than the originals.

I really hope that George Lucas restore the original han & greedo scene from ANH (the one where han shoots first). Also take out the white boxes that we see when a ship fly's by. And also I hope the dvd of the star wars trilogy has a great sound mix.

I'm happy with the special edtion of the classic star wars trilogy some people should be geatful that the classic star wars trilogy is coming out on dvd on september 21st 2004. George Lucas is a great flimmaker also he is a brillant artiest.

I am really happy that the classic star wars trilogy is coming out on dvd on september 21st. But I'm a little disaponited that both cuts of all 3 flims won't be on the dvd's. Only the special edtions will.

Gundark Hunter I think re-mastering the star wars trilogy for dvd will make the flims only better. I will give some exsamples of re-mastering first superman: the movie it's flim as the 1978 release but with few scenes they but back in the movie and a new sound mix and the other star trek tmp in that movie they re did some special effects because most of them where unfinshed at the time the movie was made back in 1979.

I sure hope george lucas change his mind about fixing the original star wars flim on dvd because I want to see the way they where originaly made. I like george lucas's flim but please george don't mess the sw that I remenber.
