I have watch the dvds over and over again I'm 2nd gernration sw fan my mom went to see the movie 27 years ago. I think the changes George Lucas has made are good. He has every right to change his work. People will disagree but that's the way it is I subpose.

Okay you fan boys out there you need to get a life. Why are so many people saying some bad thing about George Lucas he is a good flimmaker if he want's to change his movies he can because he own's them. But your right Regicidal_Maniac the originals should be preserve.

Okay Darth Justin that's going a lttle bit to far. George Lucas will one day release the original versions. And if he does'nt well you just have to live with it so all of you fan boys out there stop complaining the flims will be out in two days if you want to buy them buy them if you don't want to then don't buy them.

I think the changes except for when greedo shoots first are good because it tie's in the pt with the ot. If anyone does'nt agree with me that's fine.

Yea I have to admit the only change I did'nt like was greedo shooting first in ANH. And I'm glad they took luke's scream out in ESB.

I think the people that coplain about the changes to the flims for the dvds die hard fans of star wars. Look george lucas is the one who made these flims not skywalker469. He's making the changes so that he can tie in the pt together with the ot. If some of you people don't like the changes then too bad. May be someday in 2007 george lucas will release the original version of these flims. I like the changes to the films for the dvds and I can't wait till Tuesday to watch them all.

I just want to say a cople of things about these changes to the flims for the dvds I think there good. I like the anakin change in ROTJ it tie in all 6 flims together. If you think about it besides when luke takes off his father's mask we never see him in his older form. To all those who cry and complain about these changes get over it allready george lucas is the one who made these flims. He can make any changes he wants to. George Lucas is a great flimmaker if it was'nt for him we whould'nt have all those summer blockbusters we see today.

I realy hope that the shot where obi-wan's lightsaber goes off for 5 sec in ANH is fix it realy bugd me that it was'nt fix in the 97 SE. Also fix the matte lines on the ranco monster they look ugly.

I am very happy that the lightsaber colors are being fixed for AHN, ESB, and ROTJ for The dvds because if you look at the 1997 special edtion releases of the flims it does not look like the lightsaber colors where fixed. And in the original versions of the flims allthough it was nice back then (25-30 years a go) the look grainy buy todays standors but in the flims they look good because we all loved them so much. Any I am happy the lightsabers are being fixed and I'm looking foward to buying the sw trilogy (episodes IV,V,VI) when they come out on dvd on sept. 21st not matter what versions are released. Jimbo you make good posts on this site. So any thoughs on the lightsaber colors being fixed?

Well it does certenly look better than the special edtion from 1997. But I wish han whould shoot first again. Is this from the dvd of star wars (aka A New Hope)?

In other words lucasflim has'nt said anything offical yet so unless we here a press release before 9/21 nothing is being changed at the monment. People who are worrieing should'nt be because lucasflim has'nt said a thing yet.

I myself like the special edtions and the original versions I'm just happy the star wars trilogy is coming out on dvd no matter what version or what changes are being made to the flims. The people who complan about the changes or the special edtion need to stop worrieing george lucas is the one who made these flims and if you don't like the changes deal with it.

alexborn007, Your right the sound mix on the 1995 thx home video release is terrible and the dvds of the sw trilogy will be much better because dvds sound better than vhs.
