well last i tried our site came up on the 5th page on google when typing in Star Wars bootlegs...
3rd page for star wars original trilogy bootlegs
2nd page for star wars OT bootlegs
1st page for star wars dvd-r bootlegs

so i dont think we're doing that bad..

i find all this talk of him thinkin the SE are his oringinal vision cant just be some sort of publicity stunt... he obviously knows how mad this is making certain people...

man i should bring back the Star Wars vintage toys thread... that thing was great...

another one of my favorite toys as a kid was the Original B&W tie fighter... the two wings would pop off to simulate a hit in a dogfight...
still have it actually... and it still works too..

ya i guess your right if you look at it that way...

i guess just being such a marvel fan as a kid when it came to comics and stuff i have high expectations for the movies...

I still think they could have done a better job with Green Goblin though...
that plastic mask looked pretty cheesy...

anyone know how far they're taking spiderman?
its this gonna be like a James Bond sorta series where they just keep on going or are they eventually gonna stop sometime?

i guess same goes for X Men... anyone have any idea?

although its still hard to say what he has planned for 2007 if anything...
that would definatly be the time to release the originals... in their original form....
however just the fact that Lucas looks extremely dead ass serious when he says those versions dont exist anymore is the only thing that scares me...
i mean that guy looks serious when he says that...
however if we're going to get our movies in their original form that would be the time to release them...
i just hope he release's them seperatly and not with the PT or any other shit like that... whereas if we buy the OT we also have to get the SE and PT with it...
i dunno....

but i love your theory HotRod and pray its true!!!

ahhhh okay im on board now...

i think thats what bothers me most about his prequels... is that he says both sets of movies are going to tie into eachother now.... but in order to do that he must tinker with the originals... now why not leave those alone and just fix the prequels ahead of time so there is no need to revisit the OT...
wouldnt it be easier to deal with the problem then and there rather than having to go back to your original films and change this persons face/ voice, add this person into the scene....

even with the case of the starship displays... is it necessary to give them fancy displays that resemble that of a computer game...
why couldnt he just match those of the OT technology... its just one more way that he could make the two trilogies flow.... and it wouldn't be as obvious... it would be a subtle change...

these are the reasons im thinking his movies now are just a template for how far he can take he CG....

what are your thoughts on this?

i mean Star Wars is almost one of the last timeless movies to finally get put on the DVD format and now that its time has come we don't even get the original versions of the films....
