Can you show a few screenshots of this?

Your on the right track with the changes being done for TPM.

Thanks! And sure, here are a few although I am not nearly done the entire movie I have a few ready: http://screenshotcomparison.com/comparison/165422/picture:1
I do realize that a few parts of the sand are a few pixels off but once the mask is layered on top of the video you would never be able to tell

Damn, I can’t wait for this!

Seriously, what films do you give A+ to?

Well, since adopting the letter rating system, I’ve given these films an A+:

  • 12:01 PM (1990)

  • The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988)

  • Army of Darkness (1992)

  • The Aviator (2004)

  • The Big Lebowski (1998)

  • Black Angel (1980)

  • Blancanieves (2012)

  • The Blue Lagoon (1980)

  • The Empire Strikes Back (1980)

  • Groundhog Day (1993)

  • Jurassic Park (1993)

  • The Kid (1921)

  • Mississippi Burning (1988)

  • A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)

  • One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975)

  • Ray (2004)

  • The Road (2009)

  • The Ruling Class (1972)

  • Sex, Lies, and Videotape (1989)

  • Taxi Driver (1976)

  • What Dreams May Come (1998)

Of course, there are a helluva lot more movies I’ve seen over the years which I’d rate an A+. I haven’t watched any of them since before I abandoned the 1-10 rating system, though, so I don’t know with any certainty where they’d fall along the new spectrum.

Ah, okay, you do rate films A+

Ranking the Star Wars Soundtracks
Time

Burdokva said:

Well, it seems that there’s at least one common pattern here - that AotC, bar two very good tracks, is the most disliked soundtrack of them all. Probably the movie, too. But I digress.

I think that the TFA soundtrack has a lot of great themes, such as Rey’s Theme, March of the Resistance, Sherzo for X-Wing’s, and The Jedi Steps, but I think that most of the other tracks are like filler (Rey Meets BB-8, That Girl with the Staff, Finn’s Confession, Maz’s Counsel, Snoke). They are all good, but nothing especially memorable. I also think that the great themes (stated above) aren’t as good as the themes from AOTC, or any other films really. Across the Stars, The Chase Through Coruscant, Jango’s Escape, Bounty Hunter’s Pursuit, Return to Tatooine, Love Pledge/The Arena and Confrontation with Count Dooku and Finale are all exceptional tracks that I find myself humming very often. The only reason I rank the AOTC soundtrack so low is that there really wasn’t that much music composed, although what was is brilliant, and in my opinion, better than TFA.

  6. TPM

Many will disagree about ranking AOTC over TPM. But AOTC actually contained some stuff that were the reasons I wanted to see the prequels, like a big ass Jedi/Clone battle. Where as even though TPM is a much better made movie overall (Still sh*t though) it has Jar Jar (and to a lesser extent little Annie) in it for most of the running time. He’s the most irritating character in the history of mainstream movies and it’s difficult to “enjoy” anything else about that movie as a result. If a highly skilled faneditor/FX-artist ever digitally erased Jar Jar from every single pixel of TPM, then sure I’d probablly rank it as the “least worst” prequel. But so far (To my knowledge) they haven’t yet, so it’ll stay bottom for me.

At least AOTC has Kenobi in it for more than 5 minutes and he does things that significantly effect the plot. At least the villain has more than 4 lines (With Christopher Lee’s voice) and does things that significantly effect the plot. The final LS duel actually has some emotion behind it, despite also being almost totally cr*p. At least they got rid of the botched puppet Yoda. Sadly with a CGI Yoda but you can tell the FX-artists really tried. etc.

By god! You’re right about the prequels. I feel so conflicted. Your points make so much sense, but all these other opinions are just nibbling at me from all angles. I think the PT has been the source of more of my opinion changes than any other films. I just want to be happy with my opinions, damn it why did your post have to make so much sense?

Deleted scenes:

Finn And The Villager
Jakku Message
X-wings Prepare For Lightspeed
Kylo Searches The Falcon
Snow Speeder Chase
Finn Will Be Fine

Sounds great! None of the problems I had with the film were down to things not shown, so I can’t wait to see these implemented in an extended edition. Leia on Hosnia I think would have ruined her reveal later on.

What don't you like about TESB?
Time

We all know that TESB is a great film, in my opinion, the best film of all time, but no film is perfect, everything has flaws.

For me, the biggest detractor of the film is the fact that Han doesn’t just fly the Falcon out through another part of the planet, one not surrounded by Imperial forces, but really, that outs the plot into motion, so I can excuse it.

Everything else is perfect.
