Just finished watching the first episode of Ash vs. Evil Dead season two, and liked it quite a bit. I wasn’t the biggest fan of season one, while it had it’s moments, I disliked the way Ash was turned into a parody of himself, how every character would be killed off in gory ways (which made it difficult to care for them), the bad CGI was annoying, and overall it didn’t really feel like The Evil Dead (apart from the awesome first episode). But this latest episode felt like it was ripped out of the original series. Ash’s shenanigans were toned down, and he acted more like himself in Army of Darkness, the CGI was kept to a minimum, and used effectively, and it was nice seeing Ash’s home town, something not touched on in the movies. Ash’s father Brock in particular was great to see. So I remain hopeful for the rest of the season, and eagerly await episode two.

Does anyone else think theater should still be spelled like theatre? I don’t like changes like that. Kind of like how American English changed aluminium to aluminum, and needlessly removed a “u” from several words like favour and labour and colour, or how “ue” is being removed from words like analogue and catalogue. I prefer the old/British spellings.

I always use the British spelling. More fancier.

I’ve never understood the appeal of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. The character’s a narcissist and a sociopath who has his ego fellated by everyone around him and never receives his comeuppance.

That’s what makes him so awesome. He’s like James Bond, all the boys want to be him, and the girls want to be with him.

Pfft. I’d rather have a soul.

Lame.

2003 Clone Wars vs 2008 The Clone Wars
Time

Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars easily. Less annoying characters, makes more sense when viewed along side the films, better music, more creative direction, and far superior animation. The Clone Wars is good too, but doesn’t compare to the 2003 series. Also, Clone Wars made my least favourite prequel character (General Grievous) into an intimidating, powerful villain.
