Premature (2014)

It’s about a high school student whose day keeps resetting whenever he prematurely ejaculates. As expected it was the best movie ever made, no question.

11/10

I’ve seen it. It’s actually . . . a lot less dumb than it sounds. Kinda of endearing.

Oh yeah, I legitimately enjoyed it. I’d actually give it a six or seven out of ten.

Justify why you have your opinion of certain episodes from the "Star Wars universe" as being canon (or worth watching).
Time

Easy. The Phantom Menace to Return of the Jedi are in my canon because they fit in with the rest of the Legends universe. The Force Awakens and Rogue One are not because they don’t fit in.

To classify, my canon is basically the original EU without any events, references or characters from The Clone Wars TV show (that can stay in the nuEu, as it contradicts all the Clone Wars stuff from the early 2000s).

That’s not to say I don’t like TFA or R1, or even TCW, they’re all quite good.

I also LOVE the score.

Agreed. That so many find it underwhelming perplexes me.

Can you name more than 4 stellar songs from the album? I can do that with every single Star Wars soundtrack with the exception of this and AOTC.

Not sure why everyone knocks the AOTC score. Nearly every track on the album is stellar.

EDIT: In my opinion.

Should the Prequels be more included into the franchise going forward?

One thing (out of many) that makes me prefer the old EU to the canon universe is that there was no bias towards the prequels.

Your old EU must be different from mine.

Sorry, what I meant was no bias against the prequels, though I can easily see why a lot of people wouldn’t like that.

Since I don’t mind them, then yes, I do want to see them acknowledged in the series, or at least the nuEu. One thing (out of many) that makes me prefer the old EU to the canon universe is that there was no bias towards the prequels. In the nuEu, we have two comic series’ and one book from the prequel era (The Clone Wars while canon, was a product of the Legends universe as well, so I’m not counting it).

This’ll be fun. Sort of in the tradition of the old “Tales from . . .” collections.

Why are they saying there’s never been anything like it when there was clearly a book series based around this very concept?

So this was available for digital rental on this TV thing like Foxtel that my family just got, so I gave it another watch.

Sadly, I didn’t feel it was as good as I remembered, nor as good as I hoped it would be. Yes, the space battles are exhilarating, the cinematography is terrific, the directing is on point, and the music and acting are generally good. However, I was bored by the characters, except for K-2SO and Chirrut Imwe. I felt that they didn’t have enough personality to hold a movie, and that the six of them didn’t equal one Han Solo or Ben Kenobi. I feel that it is the kind of film that gets less fun and more tedious the more you watch it, like Attack of the Clones or Return of the Jedi, because this time, while I was entertained, I sort of just longed for the end battle, and even that I found myself zoning out of sometimes. The characters are the most crucial point of a movie, and without interesting ones, this movie kind of crumbles into a dumb, fun action movie. I also think the ending ruins the beginning of A New Hope and also doesn’t match up. Why do the rebels look so calm at the start of that film when in this one several of their number had been decimated by The Force Unleashed style Darth Vader? Why does Vader bother questioning Leia if she was just at a rebel battle? Why does Leia think she can lie to Vader? So many inconsistencies.

At this point I’d give it a generous six out of ten.
