I haven’t read the Hand of Thrawn duology, but I loved Survivor’s Quest and Outbound Flight, which were some of the first EU books I read.

I feel that I was more mature as a thirteen/fourteen year old than I am now. I look back on stuff that I said then and just think I needed to loosen up.

2014 was a pretty good year. I remember I grew my hair out to medium length (down to my eyes) then shaved it all off at the end of the year. It was straight before that but it grew back curly and has been ever since. Puberty I guess.

Enema of the State (1999)
I mean, it’s a pop punk classic, how can I not love it? It’s an album that I keep returning to just because it’s so fun. I’m guessing a lot of you dislike this band but whatever, I still love this album.
Take Off Your Pants and Jacket (2001)
This one gets hyped a lot by blink fans, but I think it’s kind of meh. It’s not as fun or catchy as Enema of the State and not as interesting or experimental as the untitled album. I love the singles and the joke track but overall it’s not one I would listen to all the way through again.

I find this one to be a really good album. I don’t listen to it as much as Enema but I find it more intriguing and varied. Some of the experimental songs pay off, and others pay off less, but overall the album comes together very well.

Legitimately sincere heartfelt tribute to 9/11, sang in the most upbeat EDM style possible.
I haven’t watched TFA in a while. I think when I do rewatch it soon, my opinion of it will turn out lesser than I had it before.
It will. TFA diminishes like a fart in the wind upon subsequent viewings.

Lots of useless information that will never get me anywhere important, like that Rogue One is boring.
I don’t hate CGI but there’s been two decades of crappy stuff that doens’t fool the eye for very long. I don’t think CGI spaceships impressed me until the 2009 Star Trek film. And bad CGI still happens. Justice League allegedly being the latest example of when a human in a suit might have been better.
I agree, I think that a lot of movies from the 90s and 00s have aged so much quicker and more poorly than stuff from the 80s and earlier, and it really is down to CGI. Bad practical effects are so much easier to look at than bad CGI (see The Evil Dead for poor but charming practical effects, and Ash vs Evil Dead for poor, hideous looking CGI). It’s the same with 3D animation. I can watch Snow White which is from almost a century ago, and it still looks good, but Toy Story which has some of the best 3D animation for the time, is still obviously dated.

I’m going to marathon all the films minus The Clone Wars over two days before I see TLJ.
I was looking through photos from a couple of months ago and found that my hair went through a Chad Kroeger from Nickelback phase for a while there. How did I live with myself?
And about Luke not actually being a great pilot because he gets helped a couple times, agree you forgetting he and wedge are the only ones who even survive?

I presume they were keeping the majority of TIE fighters occupied elsewhere while designated squadrons made the trench runs, and flew off in a different direction once Luke made a successful torpedo shot.
Maybe the pilots at the end of A New Hope are brand new pilots that jumped ship from the Imperial Academy and they just finished their Rebel indoctrination. The awards ceremony at the end of the movie could’ve taken place a few days after the Battle of Yavin unless otherwise stated in the shooting script.
Nah, one of the books explains it by saying there’s only thirty available ships so those at the celebration couldn’t fly up with Luke and Co.

I thought the characters in RO were kinda bland the first time, but they grew on me over the next couple of watches.

It is for me. Most of them are above Rogue One, mainly because I find that movie utterly tedious, with all the boring characters, especially Jyn, who is the most bland protagonist in any Star Wars film.
