DeJa Vu…

I swear this was a thing like last year, but its been popping up everywhere in my Youtube feed. Did I have some kind of force vision or something?

The preview was released last year and they finally released the finished thing a couple days ago.

I know most of you likely have seen this already but…god damn.

I know this will never happen but what I would give for a bonus Harmy v3.0 4K Revisited/Reimagined release that utilizes this scene when the real 3.0 is released. 😃

This goes against the goal of the DEED, which is meant to restore the OUT, try Adywan’s thread as he is in the middle of making a new special edition.

I have the chance to use a forthcoming 4K format scan of the original 35mm

GULP

Well this is certainly great news!

How have we gained access to the original negative?? If we do, then can someone for the love of Jaba get the OUT negs away from Lucasfilm.

It is obviously not the original negative, but a Kodak 2382 lowfade in very good condition.

Thanks for clearing that up.

You could try the DEED.

Despecialized Edition is the color-corrected Blu-ray release.

No it’s not, it’s the 35mm prints made 720P by using the Blu Ray.

What? No, it isnt. Please stop giving false information as fact. It’s the Blu-Ray color corrected with the SE changes removed through a variety of sources, only one of which is scans of 35mm prints. SW DEED has the least amount of 35mm material out of the whole DEED trilogy anyway. Hell, that’s why it’s only 720p - because Harmy didn’t have enough high-resolution material to seamlessly remove the SE editions at 1080p.

I don’t even know what “35mm prints made 720p using the Blu-Ray” means. Why would you use the Blu-Ray at all if you had 35mm source material? Okay, maybe if you had incomplete 35mm scans, but then why would you downgrade it to 720p if you have 35mm scans and a 1080p Blu-Ray?

I didn’t know, I’m not stating facts only telling what I know which is not a lot apparently.
