Anakin murdering younglings.

Not to pick a nit, but we never actually see the dastardly deed.

I’m pretty sure we see the hologram of it. I haven’t seen ROTS for over ten years, so I’m not 100% sure, though.

I have seen it fairly recently and they don’t show you, instead they show Anakin/Vader killing the masters and not the younglings. Of course I might be wrong about this, so I would have to recheck the scene in question.

Info: Star Wars - What is wrong and what is right... Goodbye Magenta

Based on the information that has just been provided a question comes to mind. How many different negative prints are there? I ask because it sounds like there are at least 5-8. The ones I know of are the technicolour print, the ones for 4K77,4K83, the ones used by Pugo and I think the original negative and perhaps one more.

Until then these kinds of private projects are best served by being supported instead of attacked. I’ve read quite a few or your comments to others on this forum and you seem incredibly quick to denounce many peoples efforts. Granted, the quality of some of these projects leaves much to be desired. I’d suggest viewing them and moving on if you don’t like them. Overall, these kinds of projects do more good than harm particularly when companies are made aware of assets they otherwise thought were dead were being shared and celebrated. That’s just my opinion.

I have no idea what you’re talking about.

Awful. Okay. That was just a web compressed version. There is obviously a higher quality version both uncompressed and one encoded for those who want to burn it to Bluray. But based on this post I don’t think I will be sharing it privately.

I didn’t mean to offend, just to say the 15GB version was badly compressed (not surprising given the size and the length of the film). I’ve seen worse though as well, and those were “completed projects”. I’m sorry if I came off as rude, I’ve had a bad week which started with my cat being attacked by a dog.

That’s all well and good. No offence taken. A lot of work went into the project with assistance from various sources. I think this one is best held back until possibly after the 4K UHD version is released.

Agreed. If the 4k is as good as we’re all expecting it to be and from the original negative, that would render this project useless.

Even if the 4K is from original sources, if they’ve pushed the grading beyond what was capable in 1978 I’d consider it disappointment. I’m not interested in a digitally polished product ridding all evidence of the camera negative. It’s about retaining the original aesthetic without the wear and tear of repeated performances.

I want the same thing to happen with the unaltered Trilogy of Star Wars.
