LOTR: The Two Towers... (Released)
Time

Hey guys!

I embarked on a project to edit the Two Towers in correspondence with the books!
And I finished it.

So the beginning would be the last stage of the battle at Amon Hen with Boromir’s death…
and we would never intercut between stories…

Aragorn’s journey begins, and then when they reach Fangorn…
we skew back to Pippin and Merry’s story.
and show the whole thing in it’s entirety until the march of the Ents.
Then we get back to Aragorn and view the fellowship’s story until the part in the actual movie ROTK
where Pippin is being taken by Gandalf to Minas Tirith!

Disc 2 is Frodo’s journey… from Emyn Muil to his untimely capture at the road to the Tower of Cirith Ungol.

What are the worst lines of dialogue from the 6 SW films?
Time
Episode I------------------
Obi-Wan: But Master Yoda says I should be mindful of the future.

C-3PO: I beg your pardon, but what do you mean, "naked?"
C-3PO: My parts are showing? Oh, my goodness, oh!

Shmi Skywalker: There was no father. I carried him, I gave birth, I raised him. I can't explain what happened.
(I guess she was high or something when it did.)

Obi-Wan: Why do I get the feeling that we've picked up another pathetic life form?
(What is he saying? That a poor kid is pathetic?)

Any line with Jar-Jar.... and Midichlorians

Episode II-----------------
Anakin: I killed them. I killed them all. They're dead, every single one of them. And not just the men, but the women and the children, too. They're like animals, and I slaughtered them like animals. I hate them!

Obi-Wan: Be mindful of your thoughts Anakin. They'll betray you.

Anakin: Don't be afraid.
Padme: I'm not afraid to die. I've been dying a little bit each day since you came back into my life.
Anakin: What are you talking about?
Padme: I love you.
Anakin: You love me? I thought we had decided not to fall in love. That we'd be forced to live a lie and that it would destroy our lives.
Padme: I think our lives are about to be destroyed anyway. I truly... deeply... love you and before we die I want you to know.

Anakin: From the moment I met you, all those years ago, not a day has gone by when I haven't thought of you. And now that I'm with you again... I'm in agony. The closer I get to you, the worse it gets. The thought of not being with you- I can't breath. I'm haunted by the kiss that you should never have given me. My heart is beating... hoping that kiss will not become a scar. You are in my very soul, tormenting me... what can I do?- I will do anything you ask.

Anakin: So have you, grown more beautiful... for a senator, I mean

Anakin: One day, I will become the greatest Jedi EVER. I will even learn how to stop people from dying.

Anakin: I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. Not like here. Here everything is soft and smooth.

Yoda: Circle survivors, Perimeter create! (forgot what he said)

Yoda: Seeing you alive brings warmness in my heart

"Jules" Windu: This party's over.

Theres more...

Episode III----------------------
Palpatine: Learn to know the darkside.

Obi-Wan: Sith Lords are our speciality
(was that a joke? He's talking as if this was some kind of restaurant)

Obi-Wan: You won't get away this time Count.
(was he being sarcastic?)

Anakin: I've grown twice as powerful since the last time we fought.
Dooku: Good! Twice the pride, double the fall.

Anakin: If you are not with me your'e my enemy.
Obi-Wan: Only a Sith deals with absolutes!

Anakin: You're talking like a Separatist!
Obi-Wan: My loyalties are to the republic, to democracy!

Obi-Wan: Palpatine is evil!
Anakin: From my point of view the Jedi are evil!
Obi-Wan: Then you are lost!
(that was funny)

Palpatine: No... No, No!!
(that was kind of like Gollum)

Palpatine: POWER! UNLIMITED POWER!

Yoda: To Kashyyk I must go. Good relations with the wookies I have.
(ok that was weird.)

Yoda: Goodbye, Chewbacca. Miss you I will.

Obi-wan: Wait a minute, how did this happen? We're smarter than this!

Vader: Where is Padme? Is she safe? Is she alright?
Palpatine: I'm afraid, in you anger, you killed her.
Vader: I felt her! She was alive!
NOoooOOOOoOOooOOoOOOOO!!!!!!
(that was so embarrassing..)

Grievous's terrible accent...

there's more... but I forgot them.....

THE Most Awesome Scene in Star Wars
Time
mine is in ROTJ where Luke and Han are about to be dumped into the pit of Carkoon and then Luke
Grabs his saber and cuts the crap out of Jabba's minions!

This is why:
Firstly, the dark times came upon the galaxy with the jedi diying (in Ep3) and being excecuted.
There was no ACTUAL showing of the Jedi in action (save the Obi-Vader-rematch in IV) and nothing
really happened with the Jedi at all...
...but then the galaxy witnesses The Return of the Jedi in all of it's former glory! Luke is now a Jedi Kinght and we for the first time
since Episode III see the justice of the galaxy coming back and that gives the new hope to the republic and jedi again.
It's more effective listening to the Sail Barge cue on CD (to me at least... I get goosebumps) than watching it because
it would have been alot more expressive if the movie was made in this time.

And other scenes include:
The Hoth Battle
and possibly the Obi-vs-Ani Ep3 duel
and Obi-Quigon-vs-Maul duel..

yes there are more, but I forgot..

I liked the Wampa showing, because In the first place, the scary-wampa sequence in the OT wasn't really supposed to be THAT suspensful anyways...
the OT's less-is-more scary wampa isn't worse though... but in a SW film I'd say the extra wampa footage is great.

I didn't mind the Vader platform walk.

What I REALLY hate is overdubbing the original Fett voice... the acting is horrendously better than that New Zealand guy who plays Jango... the original voice is SOOOO much better!

Favorite SW theme
Time
Okay, guys... I'd like to ask what are your 3 most favored themes in the Star Wars films...
You can't say "Oh I like them all!" because there has GOT to be at least one theme you listen to
more than any other ones...

My favorites are:

1. The Throne Room and Finale (from the credits of Episode III... alot more majestic sounding and longer)
2. Han Solo and the Princess
3. Duel of the Fates ( I have yet to hear a bigger and less annoying sounding orchestrial arrangement similar to the Duel of the fates music briefly shown in Episode II where Anakin is looking for his mom.)

Found this quote from Lucas about the Fans from May '05
Time
I myslef am 16 years old and was a big fan of the OT back in 1995 to 1998... (I couldnt really distinguish the differences between the original and the 1997 release, just the enhanced effects).

Then I was somewhat a fan of the new SW films until about late 2002 where I really found the OT alot better over time...
I love the OT alot more than the prequels and can't have the prequels on the same level of greatness as the original films.

Jurassic Park - 2 Disc Expanded Version DVD cover

Why? The score of Jurassic Park is one of the best themes, it's only appropriate having a Score-only track in it.
And why can't there be a commentary by John Williams either?

Can't I imagine it and simply put it into a fake DVD cover? Did I commit some crime!?

Star Wars 2004 DVD question... (I have no clue where to post this...)
Time
Hi...

I'd like to ask if anyone knows... (or suspects) about the Star Wars OT DVD packaging.

I like the idea of keeping the same style of the package to the prequel DVDs.. It's nice and unifiying.
but what I DONT like is that they made the WIDESCREEN editions silver and the FULLSCREEN editions
gold. And the prequel DVDs get the pleasure of having a GOLD and warm look to them (while the fullscreen is with a blue band over it).

Now, I don't like that, and I have no absolute clue (or suspicion) on why they did that...

would anybody know/suspect why?

please feel free to respond.

ANH Space Battle aka The Battle of Yavin
Time
I didn't mean that I'd like it replaced....

I mean that If there was a presereved THX-quality unaltered DVD pack of the films...

I'd like a CGI version DVD pack.... I'd buy both though..
because I think the old effects should be preserved....

but if they're going to alter it yet more times...
I'd really love to see all the fights rendered in CGI.

sorry for the confusion.

If only it were real....

hey guys... I appreciate those comments on my DVD covers... thanks alot!!!

Vey nice.

If I could make one suggestion it would be to track down higher res and better quality versions of those pics and replace them. The compression ratio is just too much and as a result the quality suffers terribly. Especially in regards to ESB and ROTJ.

Yeah, that's my problem... I can NOT find any better ESB ROTJ posters... I have trouble finding things like that on a higher resolution....

I can't find ANYTHING on a better resolution...

and I'd like to see Rtiker's DVD box... I can't find it!
