X-MEN 3 PSYCHO REVIEW
Time
hey, I watched X-3 now, and I can tell you it's no where near as good as the previous films where...

where the first two were wide-ranging and fun to watch,
this film was shorter, alot more simple, and nothing really special.

The jokes were mediocre and just dropped in... it's as if the filmmakers where saying "Here's a joke. Okay that was the joke."
whereas the previous films had more fluid and interwoven humor across the film, besides a few.

This film was dark and not very fun to watch, Juggernaut I was most displeased with, not much focus was given to Angel, Beast, or any other
characters except maybe Xavier, Jean, Magneto, and Wolverine... couldn't they make it more complex?

The movie was also pretty short. X1 and 2 were longer pictures and had more interesting situations.
Whereas this movie was just "Anti-X-gene found. Phoenix rises. Magneto fights. X-Men stop him and Phoenix."

Brett Ratner also isn't very good at situations and characters... all of wich where really direct and simple in terms
of what each character does in a situation, ect.

The design for Juggernaut wasn't good either... he hardly looks like his comic-book counterpart. (I know it's to give him a realistic feel)
but it just wasn't impressive enough.

The action scenes weren't much either... sure, Phoenix does some cool things, but whenver someone gets killed by her, they turn into
Windows 98 screensaver ball explosion particles!

I liked the magneto thing where he *SPOILER SORT OF*kinda movies his metal chess piece at the end.

All in all I'd give it a 5.5 out of 10, whereas the previous Xs where 8.0 out of 10.

for me it's the Terminator 3, Jurassic Park 3, and Blade: Trinity, of the X-Men series... only slightly less dumb. Credit to the writers on that one.

X-MEN 3 PSYCHO REVIEW
Time
what I found out was that the less popular the person is, the nicer he/she is.

The stand-ins for Wolverine and Jean were very talkative and polite, sound guys are great,
stuntmen listen to you when you talk, and make you feel welcome. Ian McKellen was nice too (if not alittle weird).

Whereas the main brotherhood gang (Calipto, Pyro guy, ect.) ignore whatever I said, and complain alot.
Some guy when I was talking to made fun of what I said, dangit... I was trying to talk about how it would have been better to have blue-screened Juggernaut into the frame, making him bigger, to give him a more imposing and more indestructible feel to him. He just said "I wish they blue-screened me in and made me look bigger!"

X-MEN 3 PSYCHO REVIEW
Time
amigos.... I had the chance of visiting the set of X3 back in September 2005.

it was in Vancouver... and the scene they were filming was the part where magneto talks to the brotherhood.
"They wish to cure us." etc. I got to talk to the cast and crew (most of whom where nice, some were jerks).

and I've visited the X-Jet before the cast got there (wich I think was cool), the Facility where the mutants are held in (where magneto destroys the bridge at),
and the Xavier Mansion hall way place, as well as the X1 bar... and the oval office wich is mysteriously yellow...

I haven't seen the film yet... hope it's good... but seeing Brett Ranter direct was, well... kind of boring. I'm not really THAT excited (even though I enjoyed X1 and 2)
... too bad it's released... I wanted to say: "Sentinels are going to be in it!" but what ever...

Lord of the Rings - TTT - The Re-Edited Re-Edit Book Cut! (Released)
Time
ah crap... that was the scene I almost completely forgot!
I really should have added it into the part after he says "Smeagol." at the dead marshes (like what you said)... but I didn't even try... I really just forgot... terrible, terrible.

concerning the part at the Entmoot.... they talk until Merry says "this has been going on for hours" and
Fangorn turns and says "We have just agreed." and it cuts to the part where he takes them to the chopped down forest, he gets angry and Calls for all the Ents. CUT back to Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli at the forest of fangorn....

I'll make a cool Book-cut chronology graph sometime for fun... or when I have some time to spare, to show you where I placed each scene.

Lord of the Rings - FOTR - The Book-Cut (Released)
Time
sorry...

yeah it's my seed... I'm sorry I can't seed non-stop, having problems with my internet connection and having to restart my computer sometimes.

anyway, considering the quality drop....

The Two Towers Disc 3 book cut is a massive 10 GBs...! Because it has some FOTR scenes and some ROTK scenes as well.
if I reduced it to 4GBs... the quality will pretty much go down.

same with other book-cuts over 4 GBs...

in wich Disc 4 Book Cut is 4.9 GBs, Disc 5 is 7GBs, Disc 6 is thankfully exactly 4.

The reasons I don't like these new Special Editions (1997, 2004)

1. The original anamorphic good-quality version of the original three aren't released.

2. The story has been slightly altered. It's been more kiddified.

3. The new dialogue is terrible and wooden... nowhere near the smart fling of the OOT.

4. "How is this possible?" ok... enough said.

5. CGI is VERY poorly excecuted.

6. Most changes are minor and not needed.

other than that, I enjoy watching the mere changes they've done and have no problem with the SE's. Only as long as a good pristine version of the ORIGINAL 1977, 1980, and 1983 versions of STAR WARS are released... If that happens, I'd be excited to see what changes they've done in newer editions.

Not only Star Wars, but I wouldn't mind seeing changes (if that ever happens) for any other movie as long as the original version is available. (in good quality.)

P.S. I also noticed that the Episode I DVD has added footage in the film without even telling us that it's an "extended version"!
What is this for? If I buy a DVD... I'd expect the film to be Exactly like i've seen it in theatres...

Grievous Questions... and more!
Time
hi, this is about something I've been pondering about while watching Episode III... (you know.. the one with cheesy dialogue.)

There are quite a few Grievous fans out there stating that somehow, if General Grievous didn't become an Android (Or did... I forgot), he would have learned to use the force and become more powerful than Yoda and/or Anakin... Ok, I think that's a load of crap, but seriously... could that be true somehow?

as much as I don't like Fan-made official biographies and stuff... can this be in any way true?

what do you people think about General Grievous? ... I myself think he's just another stupid asset George put in making Dooku useless in the first place.... but movie-wise, he's just another sneaky weird bad guy boss who's no where on the level of Jedi Kinghts.... and I also find the idea of him hunting down Jedi crappy. How can he possibly kill off a Jedi?

what is it with Grievous?

you know, it would be pretty easy just using the SE restored masters, cutting out the Special Edition stuff and restoring around roughly less than 20 minutes of original non-SE footage done like the SE's (frame-by-frame) and simply adding them into the SE version, and mixing in the old soundtrack!

there is absolutely no kind of HUGE labor into this process, theoratically... and being nice to the fans (who started the phenomenon AND gave George all that money) by releasing great quality ANAMORPHIC DVD with just less than 20 minutes of non-SE footage needed to be THX-ified... mostly it's just cutting out SE junk.

right? Easy...

that's pretty mean what they did, by the way.

Superman Movie
Time
I'm feeling that Hollywood is just being more rotten lately.

Pirates 2 looks just like Pirates 1, but this time with a Tentacle Pirate! Oooh! Original!
sorry... had to say it.

Anyway, Superman looks dull... so far.
The actor playing Superman is too young for me. I dont know about you, but whenever I hear "superman" I think
of someone like Christopher Reeve, just more tough looking and authorative... Wich is what I think would make a good Superman. Like mid-40-ish.
I'm not a REALLY big fan of the man of steel, and am looking forward to a good show (hope it is...), but either the actor can act well, or it won't be cool.

also, M:I:3 was pretty lame... and the camera shakes (it's a trend in hollywood these days) got me dizzy!
Never give in to trends, people... bad ones like this...
