That would be a terrible plot twist. Non sensical and cheesy to the highest degree. There are better ways to explain Rey’s competency than to use a bad fanfictionesque theory.

I read up until the point in which he said Rey was confident even though she said “I can do this…I can do this” in a semi panicked voice. I don’t have anytime to look at rants where people jump to conclusions when they’re dead wrong. If someone could post bullet points I would like to read them but fuck reading the thing in it’s entirety.

I agree about the retreading of things we’ve seen before to a point but not as it pertains to the characters. The only character in TFA that resembles a character in the OT is Poe and Supreme Leader Snoke but Poe is not even a 3 dimensional character and Snoke while having a similar visual design could still have distinctive personality traits. To be honest we haven’t seen enough of him to call him an outright Palpatine rehash.

I can’t attest to the quality of the film as I have never seen it but I can say it was forgettable. By the time 6 months had passed gone the conversations were. Consumed by The Dark Knight.

Say what you will about TFA but for good or for bad we’re still talking about the film.

Finally picked this baby up after months of lusting after it. Now I must wait til I can buy the 600 dollar replica. That’ll be the day.

Don’t know if I’d go that far but it is certainly incredible.

I can’t think of one that even comes close. Or one that effects me in the same way.

That’s what they get when they decide on his look with only 8 weeks until release. Hopefully his appearance is a smoke screen or he’ll do some essence transfer shit.

Not really a fan of the name but they’re one of the best Thrash Bands ever and without them (and Slayer) Death Metal wouldn’t exist.

Why would Kennedy be a more reliable source than Hidalgo?
For a “definitive answer” you’d need to get it from either Lucas or Kasdan (or Kesher if he every talked about it before he died).

Because in this instance he pretty much used a non canon source. Doesn’t really sit well with me.

And if they failed the attack it would have been du dunn dunn for the Rebel Alliance. I would have had the ships necessary for the attack and moved all of the other stuff to some other system.

Well if it takes several days or a week for the Death Star to make it to Yavin IV and Leia knows it’s tracking them then why wouldn’t the Rebels just abandon the base?
