Star Wars OT & 1997 Special Edition - Various Projects Info (Released)
Time

Wow ! Thanks D_J. I didn't expect one for each single version. :)

I don't feel I have my word to say on this but I'd gladly declare those labels definitive now that I see these in situation. I'd gladly declare Sluggo as completely wrong too ! (What did he think !?) :)

EDIT: Leguman, when will you be sharing high quality versions of those covers?

These covers were made for this set, and he sent the covers to me to be released with this set.

Precisely. ;)

And they've been done from original photos and scans, not from messed up "retouched" versions as we most often find on OT.com when googling high res SW posters. ;) The horizontal have lower qualities though, but will do it.

BTW D_J, the labels really don't need to be in .Tiff format. I should have sent these to you in jpg directly.

(EDIT: For info, my labels have always a margin for printing = no nead to try to make these match with the stickers cause they are real size labels and you won't miss anything. It is normal if you have half a centimeter over the sticker. The Imandix display show the labels shrinked here as they include the margin).

If you want an idea of the resolution at full size now, here they are. The mileage may vary but it's really good enough for printers:

The Anthology soundtracks used McQuarrie and they were gorgeous.

I think simple logos would be terrific too.  Like one of Leguman 's Empire covers.  They're great logos.

The Anthology was gorgeous because:

1) It used the Mc Quarrie arts for the labels, indeed... But

2) The covers visual were so silent that they were almost black.

It's a little as if the surprise was inside.

I think Bkev said it: less is more, mostly when you have already 2 alt visual for each cover.

I also surmise what may disturb a few of you are the colors of the labels, regardless of the only two logos matter. True that alone they may look a bit futuristic (?) due to their simplicity.

Anyway, just giving my two cents. It's all yours now, commanders.

PS: D_J, perhaps you could show us what it gives through a montage as you did before for the IE DVD (please):

When will this reasonable thread return to reasonability?

When Fink and his alter egos get b& and then we can watch him create a facebook page about it like JT

Frink has more than one alter ego?

Yes, don't you know I'm also ABC?  And Warbler.

... And I'm also Leguman !

Why don't you look up the definition of "hypocrisy".

Or answer this: how can you act so righteous and call out JediTray for deleting threads, when you have a legacy of several deleted user accounts on here?

Hypocrisy is all the the contrary of sincerity.

If you observe well, each of my user profile has been used to fulfill a different project, even if it concerned most of the time the same music. I banned my profile each time I had finished. I re-registered each time to let OT's community know about a new improved material I was working on again, what more often came despite my will wich was actually to stop.

If you're not confident maybe you should ask away if the result was worth and if it shows the upmost sincerity or not through its evolution, if they are really different, and what gives its definitive result & presentation...Or am I just making myself interesting with new sets just changing some details ?

You could as well argue that each of my ESB set "deleted" the previous one, which is true.

You know exactly why I registered again this time, and you know too well I'm ready to leave again. If then you wanted to make me understand there not to do this again, I hear you. It was worthless to make assumptions on my trustiness here Moth3r for all another reason.

But right now I can't see how it compares with JT's "Delete" phenomenon and even I can't see why you take my joke as a critiscism on his straightness. His deleting manners on these boards are not part of the things that bothered me.

PS to Bkev: I edited the post you thought was going too far, leaving in place the part that I estimated telling the most important.

... Moth3r will argue I "deleted" the 1st part...!

Bkev, everybody made fun in the previous posts before mine. But if you find "fun" what you see in my post you're a weird guy.  There's something creepy indeed, but not totally in my way to put it.

I especially hope the "Invidious" chapter will help JT gets his mind back, or it's gonna destroy him in his real life. I'm amazed he chose that username when it's THE thing that makes him expulsed from everywhere.

Don't like them.  They aren't 1977, 1980 or 1983.  If the movies are supposed to be a good representation of the originals, why can't the disc labels look 'classic' as well.  Aside from the color and the fonts, they don't match the awesome cover art.

Sorry but,... WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE LITTLE MAN ???... AND WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE TALKING TO ??!!!!!

I'M AN ARTIST, ME, AND YOUR JUST ONLY A... Eeeerrr... Hahem...

Well, actually I don't like labels in general and I only made these to avoid DJ asking away for some. I don't know what would be a more classic DVD label, as the DVD as a support has nothing classic at all. The best labels are for me the plain silver background (but mostly on CD) with the logos and a few infos.

I think there are enough visuals on the covers not to add more on the labels if that's what you had in mind. The best issue I see personnaly would be a film logo only label, black and white.

Anyway, I'm sure any one will be able to handle some new versions if needed. ;)

Check your pm's.

JediTray, you took things - and I mean EVERYTHING - too seriously since the beginning on this site, and proof is that you're doing it again.

Your enthusiasm though I've always seen it as welcome, is the one of a brainless teenager. You like people when you're happy, and when you aren't you shit on them. I take advantage of this thread to tell you it was useless to ask away for the IAE set by pm to people who posted in the thread when I announced its availability and was ready to pm it myself to any one. Such lack of trust or even fear told a lot on you (once more!).

You're judging peole. Your own judgement judges you.

I don't have my word to say on your come back or not. Nevertheless, seeing the energy you spend on trying to come back and at reaching people, it is fortunate you can't reach no one physically cause it would make you a heavy burden or a dangerous "fellow".

You're a sad one, maybe change your life. (And forget Lucas)

PS to Adywan: perhaps remove Jay's email from your quote...
