I am going to be really really pissed at which ever one of you is the liar.

Please know this: I created this thread and asked Jay to mass email everyone because I honestly thought Dayv has cancer and was dying and needed help. If he has committed fraud, I didn't know and wasn't involved.

Well, one thing I've learnt in my life is that if you've been fooled by a lie, you shouldn't never accuse 'the other person' to be a liar.

If you've been a victim you have your own responsability in it. You actually have a responsability in every kind of situation you face in your life. "Active" or "Passive" participation doesn't make the least difference.

Anyway... All the best guys. I really don't care who tells the truth. Just I think it's the wrong place for it. I don't know you people and the best I can do is to irradiate my best feelings as I am in front of my screen for a tip.

If Ben hadn't sacrificed himself, Luke would have refused to let Han take off without him, and Vader would have fought even harder to keep Ben at bay while the stormtroopers picked off the rest of the rebels.

Basically, he sacrificed himself so they could escape. Luke never would have left Ben there to die, so dying in front of Luke solves that problem. Becoming one with the Force so he could help Luke later was just a bonus.

Aaaaaaaahhhhhhh....... Oooooooooooohhhh o-Ohhhh.

ATTENTION: Dayv needs our help
Time

I have no doubts all the wishes people has sent here are sincere.

... But let's don't get naive and face reality: if you can be sent money through this place for your cancer, it's the door open to anyone with twisted intentions to do the same on any site where there are communities like this.

That's why if I have nothing against such a topic, I thought since the begining making this one a stiky thread on a Star Wars related site was a very bad idea since day one, and a big mistake from the mods.

I wish the best to DAYV of course

but I also wishes the best to people like Warbler (just for instance) who are so emotionnaly sensitive they would feel so bad not to lift their finger by sending funds than these kinds of call make them nothing else than easy preys, just as to deal with a kind of "responsability"... But pity has nothing to do with responsability, and nobody should feel guilty not to get involved.

Hey, Dayv. If you could just remove this "Curse" sign from your your photo... I'm sure things will get even better ;)

... To help Luke in a better way.

1- Looks like O B 1 became more powerful as a "ghost" (rather say a spiritual beeing)

2- Luke would be led to deal with his destiny by himself.

... And I surmise O B 1 had fulfilled his own mission and could leave this world in all tranquility. He took his body with him in other spheres (what Vader hasn't been able to do...)

That's my way to see this.

So today I just noticed that Kenobius Prime has this signature:

JediTray's Vinyl Project has begun!

The obvious question: friend, fan, or sock? It would be interesting to know Ken's join date (which unfortunately is hidden from view).

JT being a big autobots fan... Easy to guess.

And what about his use of another profile (Hal?...) to go on with his rant against GL?... With a lot of spelling mistakes even the stupid french I am wouldn't do...

Ahem...

The Empire Strikes Back IMPERIAL "AUDIOPHILE" EDITION - Restored & Remastered Score - J. Williams & LSO (Released)

Ok... Sorry mods, I think the OP for this project needs and worths to be clearly readable... I mean it's still a Star Wars Preservation forum, no?

Leguman time !

This project is an updgrade on many points of the previous "Audiophile Edition". It is my definitive set & fix.

© Copyrighted material: You must own the Empire Strikes Back original motion picture soundtrack Special Edition if you mean to keep for yourselves a copy of the entire project presented here. If you own any other releases of this score, then you may select and keep for yourselves the material in common from the actual set.

THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK restored score

 • Composer / Conductor: John Williams
 • Performer: the London Symphony Orchestra
 • Project: multiple sources remixing, restoration and remastering.
 • Sources: 1980-1985 RSO/PolyGram (LPs & CD), 1993 Arista Anthology, 1997 RCA Special Edition, 1983 NPR Radio Drama.
 • Set: 2CD (complete cues archive) + 2CD (edited score) + 1 CD (original album reconstructed and completed) + art covers, special booklet with liner notes and documentation, inside arts.

- Check here the previous remixing/editing details (version 1)-

...What's new since the 1st "AE":

 • EQ's: mostly 1993 sessions mixes tracks, using a 20Khz parametric equalizer to manage the 20Khz tone that is particular to these. Overall, the CD3 from the AE has been the main reference for new EQs. A lot of tracks from it then replace the previous CD1 & 2 ones.
 • Pitch corrections: 5M4/6M1; 6M3; 7M3; 9M4 + 1M2 Alt this one checked against the 1980 film mix)
 • Balance adjustment on a few tracks
 • New source occasionnaly used for enhancement: the NPR Radio Drama for 6M3; 10M1
 • Redone tracks: 6M2 (uses the film mix instead of the SE remix); 9M4, 1M2 Alt.
 • Editing: checked and corrected when needed against J Williams piano sketches manuscript (scoring sheets).
 • Other improvements: notably 8M2, bringing back the background details (xylophone(?) harmonics) from the sessions mix during Luke's vision passage.

+ A few other details.

· (2'38'' - 3'17'') RCA Special Edition - insert bar 57 (unused)
· (3'17'' - END) ARISTA/FOX Anthology
According to J. Williams piano sketches, the insert misses here a few
bars in order to allow the correct editing with the following segment.

7m3-12m3/12m4 FINALE, END CREDITS 6'50"
(Film version)
Same as original, with expanded intro from 7m3. The "Imperial March"
is replaced here with its alternate "End Credits Insert" (Anthology bonus
track). John Williams would surely have chosen to present this original
version on the 1980 album but it seems the available recordings of this
part are corrupted with saturation due to too loud volume as testify the
film, the soundtracks, and even the NPR Radio Drama audio-books.

Thats it! I hate it when something bothers you, but you don't know what's bothering you about it, so it bothers you even more. If that makes any sense.

I understand. But why does that bother you? It's not necessarily a mistake, Yoda could just have a (asymmetrical) crooked back.

It just doesn't look natural and, in my opinion, that shot really makes him look like a puppet. But thats just me...

Imperfections in Nature are mostly assymetrical. Perfection tends more to be symetrical (snowflakes for instance).

This imperfection on Yoda's back looks even more natural being assymetrical... To my eyes.

Is it just me, or does Yoda look a little "off" in this scene? It's been driving me crazy trying to figure out what it is... I don't know, maybe it's just me.

Aaaahhh. So, is that the origin of your crazyness ? ;)

The greatest speech against the Special Editions was written by George Lucas.

Brilliant. I'm preparing an article that will examine the full document and I think I am going to title it this.

Fascinating, infuriating, sad and inspiring all at once this speech is.

Wow, I agree ! Thank you for the quotes.

... the best explaination possible I would see about his behaviour may be that perhaps he's now trying to show us he was right ! ;)

Just thought this one deserved a bump... Nobody else watched this baby ? Mmmhhh well...

PS to CA:

... What would you think if I used your older Star Wars and Jedi score remasters to make companion pieces for this?

... I'd say you'd better use the Anthology stuff first. Imho.
