The Thief and the Cobbler: Recobbled Director's Cut (Released)
Time
I really liked the image, so here's something I cooked up using the DVD cover. I'm no expert, but I worked with it in The GIMP for a little while. More things could be done, I know. Looks like some of the things I learned making simple sigs went to good use. ^_^

I'm still looking forward to seeing this. I've played a bit of the workprint, and it does look interesting. Being the animation fan that I am, I've got to check it out. It'll be interesting to see how you've combined elements from different sources.

You're also missing the definative parody - Evangelion Redeath. I have a copy, along with a lot more AMVs. Shame I can't get redux. I also have This is Otakudom. It's primarily Fushigi Yugi, but Gendo plays a good role in it.

You may wish to include the Evangelion FAQ. It's available here. http://www.evaotaku.com/html/evafaq.html It's invaluable for smashing the misconceptions some silly fans come up with.

End of Eva with the original stereo would be nice. Manga felt that that wasn't as important as a 6.1 full remix. The stereo track provided was downmixed. I remember hearing Anno insisted that it be recorded in stereo when it was made. I think the Japanese renewal sported it as well as a remix.

You could put several discs together of just the video at "AMV.org".

Maybe a small collection of the better fanfics as well. I know of some great lesser known ones.

TV series set between ROTS and ANH
Time
I missed that announcement. I left the panel early on as I didn't know when the exhibition hall closed and I still needed Peter Mayhew's autograph(among others). My friend caught some of it. All he told me was that there'll be a CGI series set during the Clone Wars.

I was also really close up, so I was fearful I'd get the nerve to ask "The Question". apparently everyone else played it safe. I didn't feel like hearing an answer I already knew.

I just remembered that I meant to ask Mayhew if he'd heard of us. Oh well.

The fan DVD bootlegs being sold didn't please me either

Getting back on topic, I'd say it's best just to wait and see.

Well put, Gaffer Tape. That's exactly how I feel. Saying Anakin died in Episode III ruins everything. You're saying that Vader is a completely different character. If that's true, why is Anakin the force ghost? Anakin never redeemed himself then. Vader saved Luke, Vader killed the Emperor. Why reward a personality that did nothing?

Instead of a story of redemption, we have one of some guy who has split personallities that can finally be good after his death. Absolving Anakin of all wrong doings makes him the utterly boring character we had in the prequels. There's nothing left if you ditch that.

Star Wars: Classic Edition by Ocpmovie (Released)

Oh, I agree that most of the major stuff is gone. ^_^ I know I'm not the only one that caught some of this. Like I said, I don't wish to downplay the quality of the work that's been done. I thought you might want to know, is all.

Let's see. TR47 first, Classic Edition second.

The X-wing now goes through the fire.

The cardboard people are gone too. That one I'd probably leave myself though.

Let's please not start this again. Arguing about politics in general is lame, but when you do it on the internet, especially when off-topic, it's down right retarded. Precisely because of the disrespect involved.

This is a thread to whine about Hayden Christianson, not Bush or "Liberals".

I'm currently reading the Gundam novels. When I'm done there, I'll probably try that new Vader novel unless Outbound Flight is out. Then I'll read that.

Outbound Flight comes out January 30, in case you didn't know.

Yeah, I know. I' close to starting book three. I have Dark Lord out from the library, and Outbound Flight on hold. I'll get it when it comes out. I really need to focus on Gundam though. I've left too many books unfinished, and it's not very long.

Finally got it off torrent. I haven't had time to watch it though. Spot checking some parts I can see that it was indeed worth the download. A good portion truly is seamless, and I wouldn't be able to tell if I didn't know. The isolated score is a nice touch and I'm sure the commentary will be good. The only downside is that I'm one of the "very sharp-eyed viewers", so I've caught about 4 SE shots left in. Beggers can't be choosers, especially given the quality of the rest of it. So I'm reasoning it out hear more for my own sake, and not in a complaining mood. The hallway is fine, it's one of the few I like. The hanger is ok, but it's a bit of a continuety error. I never caught it myself in theaters, due to be raised on the pan-and-scan. The first Falcon to Yavin approach shot is so-so, the cg isn't too bad. The CG X-wings are what got me. They just really stand out. Thankfully, it's short and not intentional. Some blemishes on an otherwise excellent disc.

Looking forward to the rest of them.

On a side note, I finally saw Deleted Magic. Taught even me a few things. I'd say it's better than Empire of Dreams in many respects. I'll do my best to pay it forward at Anime Los Angeles next weekend, a long with the rest of my stuff.

Thanks.

Info Wanted: SW Trivial Pursuit: Differences between editions?
Time
Like you guys, no one plays me. My sister can somewhat hold her ground, but we're better matched at the Disney version.

I have some great memories of that game.

My aunt getting it for me for christmas. I then take it to my grandma's and show it off to my uncle. When we open gifts, he got me the same game.

Jumping into someone's game waiting for episode 1. They warned that they were halfway through. We didn't finish the game, but when we stopped, I was winning by a large margin.

Having a card shop use the new version for episode III's premeire. they went down the line, and gave cards as prizes. Everyone around me got simple stuff(who called for Palpatine's emergency powers). I got, "what was mined on Bespin". I answered it knowing full well that no one around me knew the answer.

And of course beating someone at the same premiere. Someone said I needed the new version. Strangely though, they had an uber hard trivia challenge in the theater that I stunk at(so did everybody).
