The only thing I could think of would be KotOR style rankings. You could have Jedi Guardian, followed by Jedi Sentinel, Jedi Counsular, Jedi Weaponsmaster, Jedi Watchman, with Jedi Knight, and Jedi Master following. After Council, we could have a whole "fall to the darkside" with Dark Path Follower, Jedi Heretic, Dark Jedi, Sith Apprentice, Dark Lord, Redeemed to the Light, Jedi Spirit. Thoughts?

Troops is a hilarious takeoff on Cops. One of the first great fanfilms.

If I'm right MagnoliaFan touched on this in another thread, but in the novel, Anakin runs in on Palpatine and Mace a bit earlier and Anakin asks if Plageous actually existed. Palpatine says he did, that he was his former master before he killed him. It's also apparrent in McDeirmid's wonderful performence. The look on his face suggests memory and not just storytelling.

Greencapt could be on to something here. And MBJ, I did say I came to understand why Vader walks like that, so it doesn't really bother me that much now. It just a little too overdone.

Anyone have any ideas for new rankings between 'I'm ready for the Trails' and "Jedi Knight"? The gap just seems to big. I feel like I've been taking the trails for sometime. Obi wan and the council don't trust me. They're holding me back.

I didn't know the prequels were included in this discussion. I have TPM on widescreen VHS twice(bought a set new, and bought a used lone tape when my main VCR decided it didn't like the film), got my mom to buy me the DVD(why I don't know, I've not watched most of the extras), and got AOTC for 10 bucks the weekend it was released thanks to a foolishly advertised Toys R Us sale that Circuit City honored.

I remember reading how AOTC was anti-Bush. Something about similarities between the start of the Clone War and the Iraq War. Like it's already been said, this basic storyline far predates Bush, so I'll agree with Greencapt on Bush being "pro-Sith" and leave it at that.

Actually, I've always noticed that. One doesn't quite need the prequels to pick up on it either. I always did love how Ben takes a moment before answering Luke's question about his fater. It like he's figuring out how to phrase it.

I disagree on the 'Kenobi killed her' idea. Anakin gave the impression that Ben turned her against him, and that's enough. I doubt Anakin would believe he would then outright kill her. I think it works much better him thinking he's responsible. I also got the impression that his own suffering while being rebuilt might have affected her in some way. AS for him showing his anger, crushing most on the instruments was enough I think.

I can't believe I forgot Palpy's "Yes", it was horribly out of place, even the cut was bad. I'm not that bothered by Vader's NOOOOOO. After all, 20 years have passed when we see him in ANH. It's the stumbling that got me. Still, even then I can understand the "getting use to his new limbs" angle.

To be far Kam, there were some really bad mattes and a lot of noticable garbage mattes(which are STILL there). The Rancor comes to mind. Ironically, it wasn't until the second time that that one was removed.

I don't think they ever actually established Anakin's age when he turned. I never thought of the Shaw ghost as Anakin before the fall. It was the redeemed Anakin. Showing his young form from when he was an uncertain person who fell to evil kind of destroys that. This is the jedi he should have been, not what he was. What's worse is that they used Episode III footage to do so. Hayden wasn't even aware he was in ROTJ until they showed him. It sounds like a last minute decision to me, not Lucas begrudgingly restoring an idea.

Out of curiousity, does this forum outright delete old threads or are they just no longer visable under defualt settings. It would be easier just to dig up an old thread. I've made this arguement way too many times now.

Vada hada, I must thank you for your politeness in asking this question. Usually it comes up under less gracious terms. Though I don't exactly agree with your sig, as I don't believe in the concept of the "true fan". It gives the impression that there are "false fans", which is something of an oxymoron.
