Help: looking for... Star Wars Reborn - gone, but not forgotten...

Have you PM’d TM2YC? He’d let you know if they were available still. Also, TV’s Frink is an excellent source for edits. Check his request thread. He’s listed all of the edits in page one that he has I believe.

Thanks I’ve been on here for a long time but I’ve never directly messaged anyone, how do I do that and saying looking for a particular topic how would I find it ?

Help: looking for... Star Wars Reborn - gone, but not forgotten...

So I’ve lurked around fanedit.org and fanedit.info for years before becoming an OT member and through all that time I’ve noticed edits that I’ve really been interested in disappear namely the Star Wars Reborn Prequel Trilogy, I’ve hunted these elusive edits by TM2YC but to no avail, I feel like the Jedi these may all be but extinct help me OT members you’re my only hope

Help: looking for... Carnosaur Trilogy (& Raptor) - in HD
Time

I don’t know if anyone remembers these cheap and cheesy dinosaur movies from b movie master Roger Corman, but I cane help but enjoy them for how bad they are I was wondering has anyone ever come across these in HD in some way, I know it’s a long shot but I seriously want them on blu ray to experience the cheese ooze all over in HD, on a somewhat related note of movies not on blu ray but possibly have some HD version available somewhere (streaming, iTunes) does anyone know if Man’s Best Friend (1993) or the Critters series are in HD somewhere

Godzilla 1985 - Reconstruction Project (Released)

You’re right about the MHD version having some differences from the theatrical/video version; however what that last post is referring to is the fact that Kraken Releasing’s Blu-ray adds the dialogue track from Toho’s export dub to the music/sound effects from Toho’s 5.1 mix of the Japanese version, as opposed to using the existing mono mix. There are also two different mixes of the music/effects for the Japanese version, the most notable difference being that death cry.

I might eventually revise the audio track on my reconstruction to match the theatrical/video version, but for the time being I’m moving on to other projects, seeing as the current version is already almost completely visually accurate.

yea I remember reading that their were 2 different audio tracks, I think the whole reason they Kraken didn’t include the American cut was because of music being from another movie (Def con 4, or something like that) and they couldn’t get the rights, either way it being visually the same is great, will it be available in the usual place when it’s complete

They are the digital download versions with the new Lucasfilm logo (at least ESB and ROTJ). SW/ANH starts out in 2.35:1 for the crawl, then it switches to a 16:9 crop. For some reason ESB and ROTJ have the crawl cropped too.

Yea I noticed the lucsfilm logo and no 20th century fox logo, strangely I noticed a lot of pixelization during action scenes, btw are they cropped more than the blu rays and other digital releases ?

Capturing from DVRs and Cable Boxes
Time

I’ve been wondering what the best way to go about this would be for a while now, But since I’ve been checking out the forums my interest was sparked again basically I want to capture HD recordings and movies on demand like from starz and HBO for burning to blu ray or avchd discs, mostly for movies never released on blu ray or for Open Matte presentations, my question what would be an affordable but good way to do this like what equipment and software would get the job done decently

Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows part 2 open matte broadcast (Released)
Time

I think they show all of them in open matte on tv I think freeform (new name for abc family) does too if you don’t mind the watermark that also only show the extended versions and only the first 2 extended versions came out on DVD and blu ray so the rest are only found on tv broadcasts definitely worth capturing imo

Not sure if anyone’s interested but TNT is marathoning episodes I-VI with limited commercials, from what I can tell they seem to be the same master as the Blu Rays but the color grading could be different I’m not to sure I don’t have the best expertise when it comes to that lol, anyway just thought I’d throw that out there for anyone wanting to look into it
