I did! I remember the heated talks and the revisions it went through to make it perfect! And it was.
Well....I got in the mail, and I watched it. WOW! I can't even tell you how much AOTC is trash after this! So much to say, but I'll leave that for other to find. It is very much a rough cut as you said, and It still needs lots of work. The first 2/3 was FREAKIN AMAZING. The detective/love story was so well done it's not even funny!!!!! Your voice as anakin was very nice for the most part, but I'm not so sure about jar jar lol. The only problem I had was the battle at then ending, it was ummmmm, well, all I can say is independence day, but I know what you were going for, kinda a new hopeish, and I was'nt to hot one the new clone voices, but again, I knew what you were tying to do.
Can wait to give you a full review, and see this done one day. I was worth all those years of wait! *hugs*
By the way Octorox, what did you think of anakins new voice, did it work?

I like that mock up Darth Chronus, you know there are lots of other points in the fight were lightsabers should do more than spark of the walls...mainly when luke throws his tantrum! I like all of your mock ups vaderios, but for some reason, that rancor reminds me of The Force Unleashed game, strange!

TheTome, I just watched your first episode (Im late) and I got to say I love it! Your edits are perfect, It flows well, Jar Jar is not quite such as a pain. And I love the language touches you put in there!!!! And I literly LOL'ed when Qui gon killed the droid when it said halt, Perfect timing! Overall loved it! Oh, and you somehow managed to make the jedi seem more badass, while making the droids feel like charactors, kinda reminded me of stormtroopers.
Maybe its a force kick. lol. No rly. I wanted to add a force SFX, but I could'nt find one. I did add some new lightsaber fx when its trasitons from the duel to the battle. Also, does obi one's line with palpitine seem more serious, kinda like obi knows what hes doing kinda thing.

Hey whow whow...whow whow,whow....whow...whow. A version 2? But it was so perfect. When you do it, don't go overboard if you know what I'm saying. The only thing I would do is fix the droid needle, a more subtle look is all.

Not bad. Not bad at all considering what you had to work with.
First of all, you had some pretty good ideas. Intercutting the lightsaber fight with the space battle is something that might work, but in the video it comes accross as a little too... less, since there isn't too much footage availible from ROTS to pull this off.
Adding that line from the video game was pretty cool too, but you'd have to remove the music from the game to make it work.
You did seem to make the fight tighter too. The Anakin surprise kick: again good concept. Execution was... a bit poor but not your fault, not at all. This would take some work anyway, since from a moviemaking perspective, a "surprise" shot is mostly filmed close to the surprsed subject, since you capture something that the audience doesn't expect aswell, and you try to capture emotion. Here it's more of a long shot, so it doesn't work too good. If we had the HD version, zooming in might work, though...
Overall: good job, again you made something pretty good with nothing. Which makes this a great job. If you like doing this you might wanna get some serious editing software. Vegas, Premiere,... I'd recommend Vegas for any beginning or advanced editor! It's a great piece of software.
