No true Christian would place such a restriction on women like that. They get an equal chance at salvation, so they should get an equal chance at making their mark on society. Whether they do that by devoting their lives to the public eye or by more "traditional" paths should be their choice, not the government's.

Episode III The Video Game - The Movie
Time
I looked for daveytod's movie made from the game, but all the torrents are dead. Besides, I only need about a five second clip. I was going to use the deleted Dooku line ("don't assume that just because there are two of you..." etc.) in a fan-edit of mine, but I only have the GameCube version, which doesn't register when I put it in my PC's disc drive. As such, I can't just get it myself. Would it be too much to ask for one of you to put up the clip I'm talking about on MegaUpload or something similar? I hate to ask you to do this, but I don't know of any other way to get what I need. Thanks in advance for whatever help I may receive!

P. S.: Dooku's line is the only deleted shot from the game, right? I don't remember any others, and a brief skim through the game didn't turn up anything that stuck out.

They also want to put creationism in school which is wrong.

Plus Huck hiked taxes.

It seems like the only decent Rep. is Ron Paul. He supports something on weather it's constitutional or not. Not on religious beliefs or personal opinion.

There now. A legitimate complaint. I was merely taking a shot at his implication that anyone who believes in God is inherently unworthy of a leadership position.

Extracting clips from Episode III: The Video Game... *NEW QUESTION*

For Halloween (as in Michael Myers) buffs...
Time
Greetings, fellow 'Weeners! I just recently purchased the Halloween movies on DVD (ALL of them), and I noticed that Halloween II had a bunch of scenes from the TV cut that weren't put into the DVD release and, of course, The Curse Of Michael Myers is without its Producer's Cut scenes. I know the original had scenes added for TV, but I was able to get these, anyway, as I bought the OOP 1999 limited edition two-disc set that included them (brand new for $45?!).

To get the scenes for Halloween II, I'm in the process of downloading the fan-edited Halloween II: The Ultimate Cut. It has the TV scenes AND the violence of the theatrical cut. After that, I'll download the Producer's Cut and splice it with my DVD to maximize its length (using as many scenes from both as the narrative will allow).* My question for you guys: are there any other scenes that have been in various TV edits and bootlegs that haven't been released on the official DVDs? If so, where can I find them?

*Unfortunately, I'm having to get them off of Rapidshare, which means I have to wait 3+ hours after downloading each 100MB before I can download the next segment. I tried looking for tricks to get around it, but the only way to do that is to give them money, which ain't happening. *sigh* Such is the life of a fan-editing cheapskate.

Well, The Raven had a good beat to it, and The Old Man and the Sea was okay until he returned empty-handed, but I've been generally unimpressed with other works of theirs that I've read. I've always been a bigger fan of more traditional tales. You know: clearly defined heroes and villains, betrayal, courageous last stands, true love, damsels in distress, idiotic sidekicks, giant mechas, the usual. Sophisticated? Maybe not. But it makes me happy.

I was exaggerating. When he did write sex scenes, they consisted almost entirely of quotes with no description whatsoever. While this may work towards not inciting the Puritans, it made for several grand WTF moments. My point is that the man's writings were worthless and he gets all the praise in the world for churning out disgustingly sexist, needlessly depressing drivel. It's rather aggravating, actually. And the fact that he took up half my high school's English curriculum didn't help matters at all. Quite frankly, between him, Edgar Allen Poe, and Emily Dickinson, I think I am justified in suggesting we prohibit depressed people from all forms of artistic expression.

Perhaps without the cool visuals, one really notices what little substance this movie actually has.

You think that's surprising? Ernest Hemingway only had confusingly-written sex scenes to cover up his novels' general lack of redeeming value, but people praised him all the same.

*head explodes, then magically regenerates a la MiB*

If there's a Hell, I think we can safely say we're going to it, now. That has got to be the single most idiotic thing I've ever heard. It goes against all forms of rational logic. Yes, those with STDs would run out of willing partners IF THEY BROADCASTED IT TO EVERYONE THEY MET. Problem is, people with AIDS don't turn blue until after they're dead, so there's no way of knowing if the person in question doesn't either say something or start coughing up blood. These economists are obviously plotting the downfall of the human race. When the diseases have wiped out large segments of the population, they will redistribute the wealth as they see fit. COMMUNISTS!

...

Okay, You can discard the second half of that paragraph, but I'll stand behind the firm scientific grounding of "no touchy, no catchy," thank you very much.
