Info: Star Trek HD Caps

Are they any different from the official Blus?

I don't know.  That is what I wanted to ascertain by comparison.  I can always fall back on my trusty single and double disc DVD versions but I figured I would get curious.

:)

I found this ..... so apparently some were done.  I think SkyHD broadcast some of these as did Charter.

I was gonna snatch these but I'm gonna hold out until you get things sorted.  I'm sorry to hear about the issues with these.  It is possible that your IP connection could be to blame ..... lost packets and such.  It happens.  It's great to hear that you are making sure folks get taken care of.  That is very cool of you Althor.

For what it's worth I put 2 and 2 together with Jetrell Fo's request for deletion before he clarified.

Thanks bkev.

It is nice when members who pay attention show that it's not just about looking for chances to pounce on people just because no-one stops them from doing it.

@ Frink,

Being openly proud of ones own poor people skills does not make one more popular than others.

No and No.

First, I've been a member here since 2004 so I am well aware of how things go here.

Secondly, someone apparently found the wookiegroomer thread and bumped it so please, don't be thinking you've caught me with my pants down.

Thanks.

To stretch, my post showed up after yours, this is not intended for you.

Blu-Ray and other HD box size STAR WARS covers
Time

I wonder if there is a way to create an online archive of all the covers available.  I have filled requests in the past but then new people arrive and start requesting artwork that hasn't been available for quite awhile and there aren't many of us who have this stuff archived.

We should try and find a way to get something set up .... otherwise it may be prudent for a torrent to go up that contains a lot of this stuff so folks won't need to wait in this thread forever for someone to come in and upload single requests.

It's so nice to see R2-D2's blue is blue and not purplish blue.  Even the outside sunshine environment looks far more natural.  Nice cleaning job to boot.

Would this be worth getting if someone here doesn't have it already? I recall a discussion about the sound mix of Alien sometime back.

Was the Director's Cut faithful to the original mix?

JEDIT:Nevermind. Nothing to see here. Move along!

We have this set .....

Star Wars Trilogy 1997 Special Edition DVDs?
Time

I have the 97 5 Star Editions and the TB versions for posterity.  The only bummer about the TB versions is that I have only found them in a 4GB size.  Kinda stinks but it is what it is and since I own the Laserdiscs it's not a real issue for me.

Since we have the 97 DTS cinema audio, TeamBlu's versions will probably be the best of the bunch once they're ready.

We have checked many scenes against the blurays, and will post some comparisons. We have found that besides the color issues, there are missing frames also. Not acceptable at all.

The guide for our colors will not change much. This is a preservation of the LPP color which is as true as we are going to get. Beyond that, we are not trying to look the IB Tech / Harmy's version or any other ones out there.

If you feel like a color change would be more suitable for your preferences, that is left to you. We are checking against color calibrated monitors, and will be using professional tools and equipment for that.

Perfect.  To have something far superior to the GOUT is all I think most of us ever wanted but would never get from Lucas.  Very cool.
