As for the comments, you will find that this happens a lot here.  This is an open forum but most every forum like this will have groups of people that don't necessarily consider tact as something they need to show, at least every once in awhile even, because it's not in the list of rules.  For some, it's just the nature of their personality.

The UK JVC's aren't made as well as the UK Panasonics.  Prices may very depending on where you live as shipping can get expensive.

I have a Panasonic AG-1980 myself.  It might be able to do PAL/NTSC.  I'll have to check.

In answer to your last question .....

Toshiba VCP-C10, Panasonic AG-W1, Panasonic NG-V50, Hitachi VT-F99EM ...

just to name a few.  Finding S-VHS machines in particular for this might be a difficult/expensive task.  A UK Panasonic S-VHS might be the way to go.

I've made no attempt to profit from my preservation project. In my previous posts, I whimsically joked about how nice it would be if I could, but that's as far as it went. What's more, my preservation project is nonexistent as of this writing. I haven't even found everything I need to get it off the ground.

I'm really not sure why you're picking on the new guy and seem to lack a sense of humor, but if I've really violated any forum rules, then the powers that be are free to give me a warning or edit my previous comments. I don't think they really need someone acting as a backseat moderator.

It is not a laughing matter and I am picking on no-one.  As for your "back seat moderator" attempt at humor, ALL members are encouraged to report such things, this could affect all of us not just you.  

Do try to remember that when "joking" about such things.

A polite reminder.

The ONLY thing I intend on doing with the HDTV rips I got is slowing the video back down to NTSC and synching cinema DTS audio to them. 

As for work-prints, I agree with Maab, there are NONE available anywhere that I've seen with the exception of Generations and it is a poor quality, unknown generation, VHS rip.

I was referring to every project on the site, not just ones that you are interested in.  I have no personal issue with you.  I thought DJ was pretty clear that it was done.  No personal disrespect meant to you.

This is ridiculous and shame on both of you.

I have mega-respect for Silverwook and the mods.  Some of the work with audio that has happened on my end is due to him, it is also why I contacted him and why I offered to openly take a suspension ...... it was the responsible thing to do so don't shame me so quickly.  I was the ONLY one to do so as you can see.

@Silverwook .... I've openly asked Frink to bury the hatchet and he pretty much told me to get buggered.  One thing I will not do under any circumstance is let anyone accuse me of something so nasty and heinous without cause even though they themselves were in on the joke up to that point.  I doubt any of the rest of you would stand for it either.  If I deserve a temp ban for having fortitude, then so be it, I will take it honorably.

I HAVE the decency to have tried and end it and take personal responsibility for my own actions.  I cannot speak as to why Frink can not, will not, or won't be made to do the same.

I have yet to be approached about getting the cinema DTS for this and I don't want to offer it just for personal or pet projects.  I want it to be shared for a project that everyone will benefit from.
