Theatrical mixes is the main thing.

Agreed.

Is there any reason to believe any DTS LD's were remixed in any way? The exception being films that never were in DTS theatrically...

Mortal Kombat sounds like it should to me, unlike the Blu Ray.

Sound field arrangement may differ due to the limitations of home video audio vs. theater audio. I have done no direct comparisons. I have seen that some come close, others may be tweaked for home viewing. I think at times it's a horse a piece. At least with the cinema dts, you probably have a better chance of having a raw version compared to a tweaked home video version.

Episode VII: The Force Awakens - Discussion * SPOILER THREAD *

Would we be having this same convo about a guy getting covered up by CGI?

I've known people who thought it was a shame Roddy McDowall was covered up by foam latex in the orginal Planet of The Apes series. Arguably one of his greatest roles.

And until we actually see Lupita's character on screen, speculating whether or not it's another Jar Jar type character is a little premature.

Most everything about this thread is supposition aside from what has been officially released so I stay away from it because I don't want this to spoil my time at the theater when it is released.

This sample made me smile. The detail I saw reminded me of how I felt about Star Wars when I was a kid. It looks ..... real. Thank you.

I'm looking for the DTS track to Disney's Flubber. I know it is on laserdisc. I even own it. Just don't think I can rip it to my mac.

This thread is for cinema DTS, not home video DTS. The 2 are different. There are tutorials in the help section on capturing bit perfect audio. You might want to try there.

:)

Sure. But is there a DTS theatrical track somewhere? I'm much more interested in that.

I know I don't have it. I can look. I guess I didn't realize that you were asking for the cinema DTS.
