Random shower thought:

Why didn’t GL change Obi-Wan’s line…

“You can’t win, Darth…” to “You can’t win, Vader…” ?

Why would he?

When Lucas wrote that line, Darth was his name. It made sense to call him Darth. But somewhere along the line, Darth became a title. Vader was his identifier, Darth was just a prefix.

So? No one’s ever referred to someone by just a title before? You’re telling me we don’t hear people refer to others in SW as just “general” or “captain” or “count” or “master” or “princess”?

I don’t think referring to him by a title makes sense in this context, since it’s supposed to be a very personal moment for the two of them.

What’s John Hamm’s pricetage again?
I’ll have to find a local actor and shoot them in front of a bluescreen, then shoot myself, lol.
I have to get someone around 45 to 60 who has some decent acting chops then get them in front of a green screen.
I need to get a better than great costume and make them look better than a bad cosplayer and film some scenes.
I guess.
Just hope the composite shot looks good.
And I’ll remember the rule on Y’all, I usually have it down half the time.

Are you gonna edit Hux out of every scene he’s in? That’s a ton of work and will take a lot of skill to pull off. Do you have experience with that kind of editing?

both the far-left and the far-right are every bit as despicable as they claim each other are.

False Equivalence™

I think that the far-left and far-right are both despicable and I think that both are a threat to American freedoms. Maybe in different ways, but both are despicable and threatening enough that I don’t prefer either.

Can you give a common example of something you consider to be “far left” and “a threat to American freedoms”? I ask because I consider myself pretty far to the left, and am not sure who I am threatening.

You can’t be that far left. He’s talking about those who would seek to impose Leftist policies on others, as Marx advocated.

I actually do think I’m pretty far to the left, by today’s standards. For example, people today seem to think that Obamacare is way left, but to me it seems quite centrist because it still retains a for-profit system at its base. Single payer would be much further to the left, and that’s what I believe would be better.

I agree.

Such as…? Who are these people and what are they advocating here in the U.S.?

I don’t think MFM is talking about the libertarian left, but rather the authoritarian left. The type of people who advocate for hate speech laws, for example.

Just watched that video. Once again, I found myself reading the comment section against my better judgement, where I found this gem:

It took video games almost 20 years in the future 1996, to become full 3d. And this is 1977 and that dude it rendering full 3d images…haha thats just fucking mind blowing! My guess it they most likely had a rendering farm, with its dozen, if not hundreds of computer all connected to one to have more memory and stuff. And this dude made a full 3d model of creatures and jabba the hut back 1977…that tech was dozens of years ahead of its time.

*faceplam*

That has to be a joke. It has to be…

That article shows only one channel used terms like “illegals” and “snowflakes” regularly so I don’t think there’s really an equal comparison.

The simple fact of the matter is there wasn’t much of importance in the leaked emails.

I’ll agree to disagree with you on that one, since important is subjective. I think there were some very important things that WikiLeaks revealed.

(to say nothing of the fact that the whole email leak happened because one fascist leader wanted to help install another fascist leader).

There has been no evidence presented that Putin had anything to do with WikiLeaks or the election as a whole.

At no point is the disconnect more obvious than when Kellyanne Conway is on. She goes on and says her side, and then proceeds to complain that places like CNN never show her side! It’s ridiculous, especially because it seems like she’s on pretty much every day.

lol

That’s true.

They’re tricking people in to distrusting everything that doesn’t lean right. When Fox says “Fair and Balanced,” it’s because they want you to believe that any outlet that isn’t as far right as them isn’t fair or balanced.

I think you’re thinking about this too much on party lines. Plenty of liberals distrust the media, plenty of conservatives trust the media.

Interesting article indeed.

Yes because the one thing the election was missing was more talk about Clinton’s emails.

Yes, that’s what the data seems to indicate.

And yet the results seem to indicate people found out just fine.

Sure, but I don’t think that’s the problem.

The “mainstream media” showed clear bias throughout the entire election, for both sides. This is why people don’t trust the media. It’s not like everyone got a wild hair up their collective asses and decided that the news was untrustworthy, that suspicion exists for a reason.
