Yes, the TESB AT-ST is different, and cooler in my opinion, than the ROTJ version. In 1980, Kenner thought the vehicle was cool enough to release a toy of it with their TESB line, even though it had such limited screen time. The more I think about the removal of it from the film, the more I don't like it.
There was a "If the SSD was there, why didn't it aid in the battle?" sentiment if I recall. It could be explained, and it makes sense, that the SSD would have just arrived, but it was Adywan's decision in the end. I imagine he, or someone here in the know, could provide the answer for you.
The "Final Duel" music needs to be removed from the scene where Luke confronts Jabba.
I'm sure this has been mentioned, but I just want to be sure. When R2 and 3PO are taken by Jabba's employees, EV-9D9 orders 3PO be fitted with a restraining bolt. It never happens. I dunno if the order applies to both droids, but there you have it.
Oh yeah, when Luke jumps from the Skiff's plank, he extends only one hand and then all of a sudden both hands grab the plank. Perhaps a little editing savvy can be used there?
Okay guys, I am late to the party here. Can someone please PM the DLC or link info to me? I am especially interested in the bonus materials discs. I want to compare them to my Gonzo sets and then help share the love with my results.
Any help would be great. :) Oh yeah, are these NTSC or PAL?
Thanks!
Thanks eksif. :)
Anyone know how these compare to the Gonzo release?
By the way, are these NTSC? I sure hope so. :(
I remember initially thinking that the interior shots in the AT-AT should have a reddish hue and HUD's added to the window, but Ady's solution is the most practical.

I think everyone is starting to over analyse the battle now.
To ray_afraid:
This would make no sense whatsoever. This is the rebels first little victory. They begin to think they can actually win this battle and then WHAM... they get their asses kicked. Take out the explosion and the scene falls flat.
No, there will be no EU vehicles in this edit. Like I have said before the EU doesn't exist to me.
Hear hear, Ady! Well said!
I've had Internet connection trouble, but my Entertainment Utility 'rent is back in business. PM for details.
Hey focus. How goes it?

Just a heads-up about the Entertainment Utility:
There was a problem with one of the trackers so I deleted the 'rent. If anyone is stuck, please accept my apologies. Please PM me for the new info to get yours. Thanks.
Man. Screw that. I'll just stick with what works for me. :)

Weird....
I tried using ImgBurn and IsoBurner for the NTSC ANH:R DVD-9 just to see what would happen since Ady and others have recommended them.
Both programs failed.
Looks like I'll be sticking to DVDDecrypter afterall. I made two discs with no problems.
Perhaps there is some manual setting somewhere I overlooked?

What's the quality of the clips like?
The audio clips are separated into folders of 8 bit and 16 bit stereo. The FX sounds are isolated. Some of them bounce between the speakers a bit too much for my taste, but they can be manipulated if you have the software. I use ACID Pro personally.
The video clips are terrible quality, but perhaps they can be of some use somehow.
And no, there are no Boba Fett clips.

"Sir, it will take a while to evacuate the T-47's...."
The Entertainment Utility torrent is up and running. Shoot me a PM if you want it. :)
Thanks for the PM, Ady. :)
As far as the Purist Edition not being considered a fan edit....
WTF? I don't get it. It's not considered an edit because the dialogue has been put back to the original version? What about all the other enhancements and changes that are in the PE? When I hear the word "edit", that applies to ANY thing done to a film that makes it different than the "official" version. I consider Ady's changes such as color correction and changes to the sound to be "edits" just as much as fixing the Greedo scene. Sorry, but that's absurd to think of the PE in any other way.
***Crickets chirping***
My bad.
Oh, well, okay, whatever the best version is, I need a link. :)
Thanks to anyone that can help.
