Fav Classic Tv Lineup
Time
My Muppet News post gave me the idea for this. I was remembering what the lineup was when I used to watch the Muppet Show on Saturday nights at my grandparent's place. This was classic:

Muppet Show
Love Boat (I know, I know, but at the time it was cool...and Julie the Cruise director was hot, at the time)
Fantasy Island (Ricardo Montalban, need I say more)

So, does anyone remember a "block" of classic tv from back in the day?

Never seen City of God, however I thought Sin City was very good. Rosario Dawson...grrrrrrrrrrr! Miller's a genius, although some of the dialogue rang of Dark Knight Returns at times.

I can't use that excuse yet. I am the kid. At least according to my wife I am.

LOL...unfortunately the excuse won't last long.

I remember sleeping over my grandparent's house when the show was in first run. That was like the favorite show to watch while on the sofa bed under the sleeping bag, stomach full of ice cream and a hot chocolate close at hand. Ahhhhh....good times.

Battlestar Season Finale
Time
I had seen posts on different BBS's from folks in Canada who'd already seen it. They basically said "Don't watch the finale...you'll go crazy waiting for the next season". They were right...but I'll wait. Been a long time since something of that quality has been on (although I never watched any of the SG shows, so I don't know how they are).

Things we don't hate...

Wow...I'm surprised you rated TNG and Ent above TOS. I think the characters were hands down better in the original than any of the others. The utopian vision of Rodenberry hadn't poisoned it as much as the spinoffs. Killed everything from DS9 down, IMO, although DS9 had many other things going for it. TNG was socialist fantasy at best, again IMO.

Anybody here... (Evil Dead movies)
Time
Hi. AOD is the 3rd movie in a series called "The Evil Dead". The second movie, Evil Dead II is not so much a sequel as a complete remake of the first. Basically the first was shot on almost no budget, but proved a cult hit so they got enough money to remake it. AOD is definitely cheesy by today's standards but is a cool popcorn and pizza flick for Friday night. According to something I saw on Amazon, AOD is 3rd in all time video rentals, behind Lady and the Tramp and Titanic. Check it out if you can, and you need not have seen the first two to appreciate the third.

Also, rumors are that another remake of the first is in the works, and also an Evil Dead 4 (the last for Campbell). All movies in the series were produced/directed by Sam "Spider Man Movies" Raimi.
