Yes, he is quite conflicted, for sure. I guess I'm just being nit-picky. Stark wouldn't have any legal grounds for attacking him.

Yes. It will be interesting to see how it all shakes out. Not sure if you've seen the latest issue of Amazing Spidey, but

**SPOILER**

The issue ends with Spidey deciding to leave Avenger's Tower with May and M.J. at which point Stark attacks him and says "I thought you said you knew which side you were on". Why would he need to do this? Peter is already registered and "out" as a hero. Seems a little strange.

It's all done for laughs, and it works well. I wouldn't consider it a ret-con or anything. There's a couple of scenes that made me laugh out loud.

Yes, Slade is so cool. I was introduced to him via the Teen Titans, Go! tv series and he's now one of my favs. I'm able to mimick Ron Perlman's voice fairly well and it used to drive my kids nuts. They'd say something like "What's for supper?" and I'd say "Patience, kids. Patience. You'll find out our plans soon enough".

That episode is one of the worse ever. Just hang in until season three, some of those episodes get quite good.

Yes, I followed that ep with the one about the Adam & Eve project, with the twin 9 year-olds with the genetically enhanced abilities. That was a good episode. Watching the one called "Fire" now where the guy is roasting people with some kind of pyro-ability.

European Portuguese (which is basically, well, from Portugal) have some differences on how words are spelled, the way some verbs are conjugated (not gramatically, but the use of those verbs), and a very distinct vocabulary. The accent is so much different that sometimes it gets hard to understand what a portuguese is saying. Brazillian portuguese is spoken in a more clear, well pronounced manner, while in portugal sometimes vowels have different sounds ("a" sounds like "oo" and "e" sounds like "ah" in parabéns - congratulations) parts of a word are not pronounced at all.

Portuguese and Spanish have the same origin. On one way we have spanish, and the other we have a second language that derived in two: galician and portuguese (which are very similar).

I've been around Portuguese quite a bit. The town I live in is about 40% Portuguese, and the Godfather of my daughter is Portuguese and we were good friends for quite some time; I have an ear for languages (was very conversant in French after 1 semester in College, never took another language before that) and I STILL have great difficulty with it. Another friend, who is Cuban, also has no clue with it. He frequently said that Portuguese sounds to him like the people are very nasal, like they're trying to speak through their nose when he hears it. I just find it a fascinating language in general.

Definitely a cool show, but that's it. All done.

They only made 5 of them. China, Italy, Australia, South Africa, Brazil.

Saw 'em. Good stuff.

Yes, but it's a 5 year series. There will be 5 new ones next year through 2010, I think. I'll jump on the DVDs if they sell them...I only saw Australia and definitely want to catch the rest.

Lol, Nintendo bomb? I highly doubt that.
But learning a new language is way better though!

Wii won't bomb. The pre order numbers already make it a success.

And learning a new language is waaay better than spending time playing videogames. I can say that from my own experience, being able to fluently speak in english (and I speak better than I write) has opened several doors for me professionally speaking. Jedisage, may I ask what language are your kids going to learn?

Spanish and French at minimum, and hopefully Mandarin and Cantonese eventually. I see French and Spanish as a necessity given the way immigration is in the U.S. - a North American Union in the next 15 years. The Chinese because they are the up and coming super power and I want them to be able to work with the Chinese if needs be.

I'm also planning to take some Spanish. I speak some, probably enough to get me by in an emergency, but not fluently and I REALLY have to go slowly.

I just can't believe how great this show is. It's truly must see television and I can't stand having to wait for new eps every week!
