Correct and I think by the same standard (I turn on my lightsaber to prepare for the attacks), Jar Jar Binks and the Gungans from Episode 1 have to be judged in the same light.

So am I. And all things considered, if we are having a TV series and it is in some timeline within the 6 movies, since Hamill/Fisher/Ford are so old, the Episode 3 - Episode 4 timeline makes the most sense.

High security measures? It depends on the school mind you, but for me if I wanted to go into my school and then leave, wouldn't be that hard. Wait till the classes empty out and you can usually walk out the front door. I would say 1 out of 20 times you would be caught. Getting a slip might be tougher, but considering I have a computer scanner, it might work.

Still, like I said, that really makes them too weak. I can swallow they missed because Dooku actually left them, he was not in close proximity it seems when he turned, but all the time, stupid idea when I think about it personally from this particular angle. Otherwise, it is a decent idea.

Well, I did, but I was allowing it because it was a special case. Both versions are still preserved somewhat in that the change in question, the chapter Riddle of the Past, is there in brief when Bilbo tells that version to Gandalf and the dwarves like he did before, plus LOTR covers both possibilties in saying some versions of the "Red Book" were written by Bilbo that would have his made-account, and more truthful versions were made by Frodo/Merry/Pippin that tells what REALLY happened. It was such a special circumstance that the narrative incorporated rather skillfully, but I suppose I still should have mentioned it. My bad.

Sidenote: Also there were some revisions Tolkien had made, since originally people editing the Hobbit and LOTR to against what he wrote, such as spelling dwarves dwarfs, things like that, as well as just grammatical and spelling errors, though of course there are still a few left in the latest editions.
