List of Supporting Sites
Time
I've fallen a bit behind in adding new sites to the petition list. Way too much e-mail to go through in the last few days. It would be great if site owners could post their URL here so I have one place to keep track of them all.

I don't think I'll be adding personal home pages to the list, but any site dedicated to home theater, DVDs, Star Wars, etc. with a significant readership certainly qualifies. I don't want to be elitist about it, but I can see hundreds of sites linking to us at some point and the list would quickly become unmanageable.

Please do as Kevin suggests and keep it to URLs with brief descriptions only. And thanks to everyone who posts for supporting us!

No confirmation e-mail? Please be patient!
Time
Due to the overwhelming response to the petition, our mail server is working overtime. In some cases, people aren't receiving their confirmation e-mails. This is due to random network conditions beyond our control. Please know that if you don't get your initial confirmation e-mail, reminders will be sent periodically so you'll definitely get one eventually--provided you gave the right e-mail address.

Please check your e-mail address for typos before submitting. I can't stress this enough.

Changes to the confirmation process
Time
It was brought to my attention by a petition signatory that there's a loophole in our signature confirmation process. Thanks to his sharp eye, we've changed the confirmation process to make it more foolproof.

An unfortunate side effect of this change is that anyone who hadn't confirmed their signature as of the time of the update now has bogus confirmation e-mails. They won't work.

We sent out replacement e-mails that should take care of the problem.

Thanks to Mark for pointing this out to us.

Original Trilogy Tee?
Time
Both designs show promise guys, so thanks for submitting them. I don't have any plans at this time to offer an "official" originaltrilogy.com t-shirt. My hands are full with the site right now. I don't really have the time to manage an e-commerce operation on top of it.

While access to this site and its content will always be free and never require any type of membership, I will say that anything generating profits through the use of our web address should at least contribute to the costs of running this site.

Let's continue discussing these ideas in private, okay? Thanks.

Lucas is Giving up a Great $$$ Maker Here, No?

What you're talking about is seamless branching, and when you have a few scenes that are cleanly inserted without music changes, as is the case with T2, seamless branching is an excellent approach. Unfortunately, there are so many small edits in the SEs that it makes seamless branching a big undertaking.

My ultimate box set would be separate 3-disc versions of each film, with one disc containing the original cut, one disc containing the final Special Edition cut, and the final disc containing all the special features. This would allow maximum bitrate for the best A/V quality and keep the presentation very clean. It would also allow them to break up the set into indivdual 2-disc releases very easily, like a 2-disc original cut and a 2-disc Special Edition.

Attention web site owners: please lend your support and link to us!

It's a fixed-pixel font called Mini 7. You can find it here.

Fonts like this are great for very small text sizes since they remain very legible, even at only 5 pixels high.

My offer still stands though. I'll be working on a bunch of new images this weekend, so a custom image that's designed specifically for your size needs is something I can build, and the results will look better.

Thanks to everyone for what you've done. It's great to see all of you here.

Brian, I notice that you've shrunk the image a bit to fit in with your page layout, which is fine. However, it becomes pretty tough to make out the text since it's already very small. The fonts are pixel-based and aren't really meant to be resized. I can put together a custom image size for you if you like. I didn't have time to do more than the two banners I currently have posted, but I'm happy to take requests as I work on additional banners.

Everyone, let me know what you're looking for (even suggestions on content are welcome), and I'll put some new banners together this week.

I'm sure some of you run Star Wars fan sites, or even just personal home pages. You can do a lot to help us just by linking to us from your site. Word of mouth will be one of our greatest allies.

If you'd like an image to use when you link to us, check out this page. There are a couple images there now with more on the way.

If you have a request for a specific size, post it here or PM me and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks,
Jay
