Hey, that's cool. I spelled the name wrong, but I didn't make it up, so it's not like you're stealing it from me. It's based off of Boba Fett's name in the book Tales of the Bounty Hunters.

Anyway, I also have a IMDB username. I really only got it so I could view the forums on the movies I like. I rarely post there, I just like reading people's opinions about different films.

My username is 8BitClassic.

And I don't think Jiraiya's pervertedness will need to be all that different. I mean, they might just make it a little more subtle... A few lines will need to be changed, but I'm sure they could do it without altering them too much. Of course, that doesn't mean they won't...

But I'm thinking that probably only some blood will be painted out or something. I'm really not expecting them to butcher it, because after the overwhelming amount of hate that 4Kids got because of what they did to One Piece, I'm sure that Viz will be careful. They're not going to want the same thing happening to them.

* sigh *

Please do try to watch it unaltered and with the original voice actors...

I have seen the original version, and I love the original voice actors. I knew what you were talking about when you said Dattebayo.

Like I said... I'm just being optimistic. I'm sure the American version isn't going to turn out as well as I'd like it to, but it's still nice to try and keep faith.

Anyways, on topc, I'm really looking forward to this series, because I've always heared to was really good, and I see it constantly compared to DBZ.

Oh, Dayv. Well, I can't blame you for turning down that job--touching up other people's animation cels sounds sort of lame. I'd like to do a voice acting project at least once, though. I think it would be fun. Heh.

Hey, Ric... exactly how "unsafe" is Naruto for American TV? I mean sexy no jutsu (Which litterly means The Style of Sexy, I think... Odd..) isn't any worse than, for example, Marron's outfit in the Garlic Jr. Saga. I just don't want another headache of people constantly whining and comparing Naruto's dub to the Japanese version and stuff. Meh. I had enough of that ever since "Hey look! I can see their parachutes! They're OK!"

Naruto is much better than DBZ. It's really one of the best animes that's still having new episodes coming out.

And Viz has already done several GOOD dubs... such as Rurouni Kenshin and Ranma 1/2.

But then again, I'm just crossing my fingers here... Trying to be optimistic.

Hey. Just wondering how many Naruto fans are here. I figure ricarleite is by the looks of his avatar.

Cartoon Network is going to be airing the english dubbed version this fall. I can hardly wait. I'm really wondering how it's going to turn out. I hope they don't ruin it...

I just read a list of some of the voice actors. They have some really good people signed up. The guy who did the voice of Vash on Trigun will be voicing Naruto, and the guy who voiced Spike on Cowboy Bebop will be voicing Kakashi.

So yeah, any Naruto fans here?

The original Kong is boring. x_x

The horrible effects are just part of what made it a bad movie. I can't watch it without falling asleep. I can understand how people in the 30s thought it was a breakthrough and thought it was awesome, but how can anyone now days think it's any good?

The remake however, looks amazing and I can't wait to watch it.

It was not in the book and was not necessary. It only made the Wonka character less likable and ruined the ending. This is one movie that should not have been made. Why is it, Hollywood is insistant on remaking classics and ruining them? While I was there, I saw an advertisement for another remake that is doomed to failure. King Kong. Also I saw a poster for yet another remake. The Bad News Bears. Can't Hollywood come up with anything new? What's next? A remake of Casblanca directed by George Lucas and staring Hayden Christensen?

I thought King Kong looked awesome. I really can't wait to see it. Besides, the original movie is horrible... I mean, it's way to fake looking. It's pretty much just as bad as the old Godzilla movies.

Also, CATF really wasn't that bad of a movie... I think you just watched it with a slightly tainted view, maybe? It's alot easier to dislike something if you've already decided in your mind it's going to be awful.

All about the Fantastic Four
Time
I really hated the movie.

The story was boring and cliche. There was nothing surprising about it at all, and I've never read a Fantastic 4 comic book.

Also, the special effects were really awful. Well, mostly just Mister Fantastic. It looked exceedingly fake everytime he would strecth.

I also thought the story moved way to fast. One second they're outside a building, the next they're in space, the next they have weird powers... And the movie did a horrible job of blending jokes with drama. At the serious parts, I just wanted to laugh and at the "funny" parts, I was bored out of my mind.

I really didn't think the Human Torch was funny, even though they tried to make him the comic relief.

Bah. Horrible movie. Especially if you haven't read any of the comic books. The writing was so terrible.

I really liked it. Not anything amazing, but it was still a good movie. Depp was actually a really good Wonka. And it was really hilarious in some places... The subtle stuff they put in that not everyon caught on to... Yeah, it was a pretty decent film. I liked it better than the original, but I've always thought the original was boring.

Also, I've never read the book...

Test your geekdom

I would assume it's something like a fanny pack. The most geeky way to hold your things on vacation.

Anyway, I got a:

You are 35% geeky.

OK, not that geeky at all, are you? I'll bet you even have a girlfriend (or boyfriend).

The current average score is: 32.88%

I wanted to put yes on the "do you believe in the force?" question, but deep down, I know it's not real.
I also cheated a bit on the D&D question. I've never played D&D, but I've played the Star Wars roleplaying game, and that's close enough. =/

War of the Worlds

The flashlights still worked, remember? He grabbed all the batteries and junk. So, maybe the camcorder used a special type of battery that survived the EMP. Also, in a real EMP, not literally every single thing would shut off. It's more like 90% of things shut off.

Also, one reason there are so many "plotholes" is because of the brilliant writing, when you think about it.

The writers writes the movie giving us only the information that the character knows. It's as if we're there, and we're living through it. We're confused about how it all happened and why it happened, and we're getting all sorts of crazy theories from random people and stuff like that. It never even says what planet the aliens came from.

This is all brilliant work on the screenplay writers part, because it's as if we're being put in the middle of all this. We're just as lost and worried and confused as the characters are.

Also, the movie really is all about the same thing the book was all about. Well's wrote the book as a way of showing how horrible and terrefying it is to be invaded and attacked by a larger, stronger force. The basic underline of his book is that war is bad.

And this movie really gives off the same feeling. When you're sitting there watching humans stoop as low as to crush a little girl and cut their hands trying to rip through a windshield, it really makes you step back and think about things.
