I think the clone wars was what you said... both sides developed clones and duked it out, with the Jedi trying to restore order in between, maybe... or on one of the sides.

Also, I heard that a sequel IS IN FACT in the works! It's most likely scheduled for a 1979-1980 release (my assumptions)...

Can you even imagine what it'll be called. If it's just Star Wars 2 I think I might just cry.

I hope there's a flashback in the next one to show how Vader killed Luke's dad.

^^I kinda have to agree. I mean, I just think some films were never meant to be seen in that amount of clarity. Especially older movies heavy on effects....like SW. This is not to say I'm not incredibly interested in seeing that before I die.

And if there is any way in hell you know where to find the uncompressed version of that picture....please tell me.

^the truest of statements. I'm sure every journalist on the planet is flipping through his documented past looking for a reason. He's dead now and we'll never know EXACTLY why he did it. People sometimes just snap and it's got nothing to do with his parents, video games, movies or even his girlfriend. He did an incredibly selfish, unnecessary, goddamn disrespectful and inhumane thing to people that didn't deserve it.

I only mention his girlfriend because I heard an unconfirmed report that said something along the lines of a fight with her. If that turns out to be true, then it will only be his very own ass to blame. When they find concrete evidence that says he went that route with his obvious anger because GTA/Doom/24/whatever made it look cool...THEN i'll accept that this particular incident happened because of video games or violent entertainment.

But that won't happen so....let's call the guy a complete douche and remember his victims. I won't ever show remorse for him no matter what finally comes out because nothing that happened to him can come near to what he did to all those people.

it's 256kbps mp3, stereo...and it sounds excellent. I doubt I'll ever get my hands on the real thing or a lossless copy anytime soon so this will do.

Side note: I don't know how many Devin Townsend/Strapping Young Lad fans (the man is incredible if ur into metal/progressive rock) float around this board...but I just noticed that he seems to have purposefully used vocal melodies in the song "Skeksis" that match the main theme's melody. I don't know anyone else that's made that connection and it makes me feel special.

I've uploaded it at Kerrazy Torrents in the general "Music Releases" section....all you gotta do is sign up and search for it.

I finally found a torrent for the limited edition Dark Crystal soundtrack. I don't have the $80ish to buy it on eBay or anything and it's one of the most interesting scores I've ever heard. The only other way I could here this is by getting the vinyl record from the 80s (don't have a record player so that doesn't help) or spend regular price on a rather low quality bootleg of the soundtrack, if I can even find it.

Or pop in the DVD with isolated score...but that doesn't have the concert arrangements and deleted cues this limited release had. I'm so happy.

I think i'll settle down to Edward Scissorhands by Danny Elfman tonight. I love this guy.

Media Ventures is a joke and puts itself to shame compared to singular composers or maybe a few collaborating ones that come up with much more interesting and original things. Hans Zimmer by himself is hit and miss to me. The Lion King and Gladiator scores are amazing IMO.

Tomorrow I plan a nice Star Wars OST session well partaking in a certain herbal activity.
