Good comparison website
Time
I liked the lighting in ESB best because Kirshner knew how to make something look naturally lit. Every single interior shot in ANH (well...cantina aside I guess) is so brightly and perfectly flushed with lights. Even the trash compactor is lit as well as the hallways on the Death Star. I know someone posted a link to an ESB appreciation page that points these things out so well. The most realistically lit and convincing shots in SW are the outdoor ones....because even GL can't control the sun.......yet.

What movies do you consider canon?
Time
I also think the 2004 version of ESB is the best of them all. Aside from the Emperors dialogue change, the DVD looks fantastic in general and the CGI shit works well enough. Don't get me wrong, I still love the OT version just as much tho. I can watch either and not really complain about missing or added things really.

As for canon....the OT only. The PT just got too many things wrong over the things it did right and it simply has too many things that don't fit the SW universe. The PT, as stated before and 10,000 before that, will not stand the test of time. The only PT movie I watch more than others is TPM but only because I have fond memories of it, the pod race is hella cool, Darth Maul is awesome despite him being totally unnecassary, and the CGI simply looks more integrated on film. AOTC is just so poorly edited, the CG blows mules, and the story just can't hold my interest. ROTS has the sorry ass "turn" scene (a pivitol moment in the saga just raped of all emotion an integrity), the NOOO, Padme dying, Grievous (tho bad ass....not needed...as everyone knows again).... the list goes on til the apocalypse happens.

So basically....I'll watch the PT but I only enjoy it well making fun of Christiansen, the CG, and the shitty dialogue and acting. I watch the OT over and over because I always notice something new (don't care enough to try it on the PT) and I can get into it because it's just that much more real.

BTW, I like Shadows of the Empire in all it's forms (book, game, score) and seeing as how it's the biggest EU official canon, I guess i'll put that down.

PS....i so sincerely wish they'd left Jango and Boba out of the PT as they are shown because I enjoy the "Tales..." and bounty hunter trilogy account of him soooo much more. I always think of them before the PT versions when I see him in the OT.

EDIT: I missed the part where it said movies....my bad.....my opinion still stands tho.

Ducks in Star Wars?
Time
The things never really bothered me either, it's just another kinda funny thing to go on about. Bullseye wamprats, rendezvous point....indeed.

But I think the SW universe makes up for it in it's creative names list. Where the hell Boba Fett, Bossk, Anakin, Leia, Yoda, Chewbacca, Jerjerrod, Jabba, Obi-Wan, Padme.....the list would go on for a hella long time. Some names suck, are uninpired, or just plain silly but a lot are kinda interesting and aren't really words I could form on my own.

Final order - box set
Time
and contains a summary of the next few seasons and an ending in case the show gets cancelled....because I doubt it'll run the five or so seasons they are predicting and still stay really interesting and come to a formal conclusion. Love the show tho.

Anyways, on topic, I doubt we'll see the OUT in any box set involving the prequels. They simply aren't part of his vision and if he keeps insisting on watching them 1-6, younger generations won't wanna go thru deciding whether to watch the SE or the OUT and if they don't know the full history, would most likely rather see more consistancy than old special effects and bigger plot holes. I'm not trying to defent either the SE or the PT, I'm just saying kids in the future won't care enough to want to see the OUT first and will therefore be tainted...(sigh).

Tired.

So, this is how the DVDs are going to look...
Time
Well, if they've sent out copies to review then they most likely will appear on the web in no time....and I will get them there because I don't have $90ish dollars to shell out on half-baked LD transfers. Granted I imagine they will look better than the ones I have now, but I still don't wanna line GL's pockets with ha;f a paycheck in my situation.

For example, what did it cost to create the anamorphic dvd of Bad News Bears 2? (a 1977 film, with a new transfer, that you can buy for 5 bucks)

Someone please answer this man....because I wanna know too from you people before I go see something wrong on google....maybe.

Tom Cruise dumped by Paramount.
Time
I liked M:I 3 mainly for the way it was shot and the effects and shit. It just had cool stuff in it, I didn't care too much past that. J.J. Abrams made it very much like his style for Lost and Alias, which I like. And Phillip Seymour Hoffman was very badass.

But of course when he's on screen I just automatically see and think about the stupid things he's done. He's kinda like a way too serious Leslie Nielson now. You'll be laughing over the same shit each time you see the guy.

Anyways, maybe he'll head off into the independent low budget arena like other semi-washouts in Hollowood (think a super complex Collateral)......but I liked that movie.
