Idea: Hey MoveAlong ... I have the Indiana Jones Story LPs

I would really wait until next year. I have a feeling we're going to have some re-releases on the DVD's and apparently Lucasfilm is readying a "making of" book on the trilogy. I'm sure there's a crapload more coming.

That was my intention but these things take a long time to create. I thought I might start collecting material now. Can anyone come up with a definitive list of behind the scenes video of Raiders?

JD, have you contacted thewizard_7 about a possible mix-up? Also, did anyone else request a copy?

I emailed him twice but got no reply. I will try again tomorrow. Still chasing the other leads.

I am visiting someone who was directly involved with the trilogy next week. Who knows what's in his library. Yes, I will be asking!

Star Wars: REBORN - The Complete Saga (* unfinished project *)
Time
Hmm. An interesting development. Given the nature of my projects, I am often concerned about Lucasfilms perspective on such fan made films. To my knowledge they are happy for people to create their own films using copyrighted characters, but I think projects like mine, magnoliafan's, ADM's and yours (etc etc) have probably slipped through the net - until now.

Back in Aug 06 Lucas online published the following with regards to fan made spoofs and parodies:

"Lucasfilm has been informed that YouTube recently removed from its site several fan-made Star Wars spoofs and parodies. We would like the fan film community to know that this was not done at our request.

Apparently the action was taken by YouTube as a result of a misunderstanding of a request to remove an item containing material taken from starwars.com without our permission. We have asked YouTube to restore any works that they inadvertently removed."

Perhaps this latest development is the start of a crack down. Who knows. If I get a C&D notice from LFL I will absolutely and immediately stop what I am doing. I have total respect for their copyrights and for my personal position and finances for that matter.

Lucasfilm must be aware of our community and until now they have turned a blind eye. If we did contact them directly to clarify our positioin it would force them to quote the company line. Perhaps it's best to continue until we get a specific warning about our projects.

This old link makes for interesting reading.

Hey guys. Been out all day. But I have just contacted thewizard_7 to confirm that there hasn't been a mix up. I will let you know what he says.

I still have two leads to follow up. One guy who owns tonnes or OT stuff from back in the day. He is currently searching through hundreds of VHS tapes for me.

Secondly I have a contact from a semi-official source checking out his 'library'. Again, I will let you know the results of his search.

Cheers

//RETURNING TO JEDI\\: NTSC & PAL DVD
Time
Just got a brilliant mail in by youtube inbox:

"You know, I can only imagine how great it was to have been part of these films, although I hear george can be hard to work with at times. As for you, jambe-dave-darth, maybe I am crazy or are you Dave Prowse, my fav green cross code man.
if not please ignore my last comments. Where did you get all these facts and snippets, may the life force be with you."

After finding out that the DVD from thewizard_7 was SPFX (and not 'the making of'), this cheered me up a bit.
