Help Wanted: Original Jabba footage - HELP NEEDED
Time
Skot,

Thanks for compiling this for me, I didn't realise you were beaving away on this. I have actually begun to edit the footage together, though I am waitingo n the arrive of 'Making Magic' for some of the missing pieces.

Ocpmovie did a tremendous job of the original Jabba scene for Deleted Magic. Unless you try to do this yourself you won't quite appreciate how much work he must have put into it. Just trying to make the 4:3 widescreen by using the 2004 DVD footage is a huge job in itself.

The last part of the scene doesn't exist anywhere (publicly available anyway) with Mr Mullholand. Maybe one day LFL will release it.

I don't currently have copies of:

- Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition Home Video Featurette(s) (unless this is one on 'Return of the Ewok')
- The Force Returns (Sci-Fi Channel)

If any one can hook me up with copies I would really appreciate it.

S7en,

Yeah, that BBC site is great isn't it. 'The Risk Business' will be a babyhum release at some point. A friend managed to find a great quality beta-max tape of it.

As for the other things on your list, I think it's unlikely that we will find the 1977 tonight or the 1978 Arena unless the BBC re-broadcast them (wouldn't that be great though!). I have contacted to the BBC in the last few months to ask if they had any plans to celebrate Star Wars' 30th Anniversairy. The replies saying "we have no current plans". I kicked myself for not getting on this quicker, perhaps we could have got something done.

Ah yes! I knew I had seen it listed somewhere. My friend over at Star Wars Aficionado sent me those details some time ago.

I like the way they list Kurtz as the director and Kershner as the producer. I wonder if the footage of the crew in Norway is anything new. My mouth is watering

I have also been looking for the Blue Peter programme for some years. I did manage, with the help of a friend, to track down some other UK Star Wars related gems a little while back. Babyhum is releasing them soon.

Taking a look at the original Jabba scene today.

Can anyone send me the available material from the "Making Magic" CD-ROM please? If anyone is able to upload a VOB of it that would be perfect!

MANY THANKS to all of you who have sent me material lately! I really appreciate it. In future please write your OT.com name on the disc so that I know who to credit it to. It's very hard trying to keep track of everything.

Thanks

Hi All,

Sorry about the late reply, neen away on business.

Ok, I already have the Making of Star Wars and The Unauthorized Story. Thanks for th offers though.

As for the Lost Scenes DVD, it's on it's way from MoveAlong. I also have a top guy working at cleaning up the footage for use in my project. Both guys have done an amazing job on this.

Re: The Jabba scene. I was intending on reconstructing the scene from all the available sources. Off the top of my head I think snippets can be found on the following:

Behind the Magic??
Making Magic
From Star Wars to Jedi
SE Press Kit

I am sure it can be found elsewhere, and I am sure on of you can tell me
