....thats another thing,....how come we didn't see any different versions of Astromech other than R2 units with different heads in the prequels.

Flip!.....never seen some of those images before

The R1,....similar to the droid the Jawas tried to sell

....but still no previous designs of R2 units (apart from the droid in the bath, which just looks like a dome painted in the style of a R2,...cheaply done)....

Nearly all the images in that link are all the traditional OT R2 units painted in different colours,....no design to indicate an evolution of previous models, like what is being done in the new film & in Rebels

The bulgy leg joints on those astrodtroids do remind me of :

Now with the Rebels cartoon we've got designs based on RMcQ's concepts to show earlier evolutions which didn't show themselves in the prequels either.

Even the Millennium Falcon (Known as the Stellar Envoy(??????)) in ROTS looked exactly the same as Han's modification,.....all the same greeblies,....just different paint scheme, they missed the chance to have it with all panels on,...not showing all the open/lost access bays covers...

....rant over

I see a lot of robes, a couple funny hats. Admittedly I could go with some late 70s sideburns, but I just don't see Prequaly.

Meanwhile on Tatooine....

Great example,....only thing I can think that could explain is the Star Wars (A new Hope) images show interplanetary pilots etc,.....Mos Eisley Spaceport..

The others could be natives......Beru?......well she's a posh housewife,....not riffraff like the others

New pics from the set:

Looks like we may be getting some flashbacks:

Perhaps we'll finally get an answer to the long debated question of which charred skeleton is Owen and which is Beru ;-)

 Wooooow......cool looking designs.....

I like this one:

It doesn't look like something traditionally Tattooine, but does fit in though

....WOW!!

.....just gotta add,....the only Prequel to make the list in 300 greatest movies was 'Revenge of the Shit' @ 224

The other thing to also consider about this asteroid (this topic has been discussed before) is the gravity & pressure inside the cave when Han & Co go for a space walk.....I'm fine with it 'cause its Star Wars, so I don't mind the Ady added dust/debris,......things like that happen in SW

If we watch them in order... ...

The largest problem with Anakin building C3PO is the fact that in the OT we see multiple droids that are the same make as C3PO.

Which means that either Anakin Skywalker designed an entire type of droid that would be the pinnacle of protocol droids for decades, or that he was exaggerating when he said he built it, and in fact only put it together from spare parts of other protocol droids. That were conveniently lying around Tatooine and that were the pinnacle of protocol droids for decades.

Either way it makes absolutely no sense at all. The way in which Vader doesn't regard him once in the slightest in the OT only compounds the ever increasing validity to the argument that Lucas can't write.

If you watch the series in numerical order there are numerous problems with the story. The largest problems however would be in regards to narrative, and the fact that the series biggest plot turns hold absolutely no weight to them at all. This is most apparent in ESB, with the discovery of Yoda and Vaders revelation to Luke.

I think little Anny was building a 'Build your own Protocol Droid' partwork magazine/kit by DeAgostini that Watto had delivered for him, I think he was almost finished,....just 6 more issues left

Not real, but who really knows what logos we'll see at the beginning? ;)

Ok,....this may be nonsense, but if Disney would like the Original OT released on BD before Ep 7 hits the cinemas......& I'm sure Fox would enjoy the revenue of that....there could be a deal with Fox to be included with Ep 7.......

That would be nice
