Quote: DOOM - THE POSESSED RE-CUT CBB tagline: Pure Evil Unleashed .
what is it about? By removing most of the lame jokes and bad acting this is supposed to be a scarier and darker take on DOOM. large product photo original film name: Doom - unrated director's cut new film name : Doom - the posessed re-cut film studio name : Universal edit crew name : CBB
Date Original Film Was Released : 2005 Date Edit Was Released : 18 NOV 2006
Original Runtime : 113 min New Runtime : 96 min
Amount of time Cut/Added : 2 minutes added 9 minutes cut
Cuts removed/added/extended :
1. Added intro sequence using scenes from Resident Evil and Doom Trailer. 2. Removed white shoes. 3. Removed legs cutting scene. 4. Removed strip search thread. 5. Removed Mac scene. 6. Removed Dr Grimm and Duke teasing. 7. Removed Reaper flashback. 8. Kept C24 explanation (which is a huge difference to Scaperat's first edit). 9. Removed almost the entire Ego Shooter sequence, except for plot. 10. Re-arranged ego shooter leftover. 11. Re-sounded ego shooter leftover. 12. Removed flying sequence from showdown. 13. Added new end credits
Conceptual improvements/advancements of edit over original: I tried to make this a scarier, darker, less funny experience, prety much in the spirit of ALIENS. This is not supposed to be a video game movie anymore. It is supposed to be a true horror/action movie. Therefore I cut a lot of nensense and crap, most of all the ego shootersequence, which just did not fit to the overall atmosphere, and the teasing scene between Duke and Samtha, which was really hard to take because of bad acting. My edit is based on Scaperat's ideas and his fanedit: Doom - the posessed cut. Imade this editionwith his authorization.

Quote: TITANIC - THE JACK EDIT CBB tagline: Winning that ticket was the best thing that ever happened to him.
what is it about? This is the couragous attempt to create a version of Titanic, which is bearable fo rmen. large product photo original film name: Titanic new film name : Titanic - The Jack Edit film studio name : Fox edit crew name : CBB
Date Original Film Was Released : 1997 Date Edit Was Released : 18 May 2007
Original Runtime : 194 min New Runtime : 121 min
Amount of time Cut/Added : approx. 90 minutes cut / 15 min added
Cuts removed/added/extended :
1. 9 of the deleted scenes were reintegrated. Among these are: - Rose visits 3rd class. - Rose and Jack after the party. - kissing in the machine room. - hunted by Lovejoy. - surviving in the icy water. 2. Old Rose was completely removed. This version is about Jack. 3. The treasure hunt for the necklace was completely removed. Without old Rose this was not needed. 4. All Rose scenes from the beginning were removed, where Jack is not present. Later on, when they get closer, Rose gets scenes alone. 5. All scenes from inside of the Titanic, where Jack isn't present are removed, as well as all scenes of other passengers, including their tragic demise, when the Titanic sinks. This was done because of perspective reasons. This edit stays true to Jack. So there are not even the deaths or destinies of rather close people shown (Fabrizio, Tommy, Cal, Ruth, Molly, The Captain) 6. At several different occasions music from Harry Gregson Williams' soundtrack "Chronicles of Narnia" is added. It fits perfectly.
Conceptual improvements/advancements of edit over original: **************************INTRODUCTION*********************************** Titanic is the most successful movie of all time (currently). It is about one of the worst catastrophies that ever happened, it is about human arrogance and the cruelty of nature. And it is a about a love that was not supposed to happen. The reaction, when you talk to people about this movie are pretty interesting. Women love it, men hate it. The reason fo rthat is the first 90 minutes of the movie, which are about the treasure hunt nowadays and old Rose's memories of her life on the Titanic, featuring a long and detailed story about the rich and beautiful, yet so unhappy first class people on this ship. When the iceberg finally arrived and the drama was about to start, it was all too late already: men were annoyed or sleeping. But this drama was really well filmed. The entire movie is really well played and there is so much atmosphere in it, that it would be a waste if men could never enjoy this at all. Therefore this one needed a fanedit and hopefully it can do what the original couldn't: entertain men.
***************************THE EDIT************************************** This fanedit is supposed to change the perspective of the movie and it does so by focusing on Jack, the couragous young man, who won a ticket on the Titanic as a 3rd class passenger, only to find the love of his life, which he was willing to risk everything for. To change perspective we took out all references to old Rose, all her voiceovers, all the treasure hunting for the necklace and most of all: all that happens to Rose until Jack and her are a couple. Since our edit focuses solely on Jack, there also isn't much about the Titanic. No machine room, no captain's discussions, no crew talk. All of these are great scenes, but they just didn't fit to our movie. We included 9 of the deleted scenes, which add more character to Jack and also some more adventurous events. Now this is a dramatic love story about a true hero on the Titianic, about his struggle to survive. Nothing more and nothing less. It is a completely different watching experience and we really tried to take care, so nothing important is missing.

"Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow remixed by Jorge"
""Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" is based on the popular serials of the 1930s and 1940s. Written and Directed by Kerry Conran, This homage to serials is far too faithful to its origins. Conran gleefully adopts the logic holes, adolescent romantic attitudes, discontinuities and plot conveniences that were standard in movie serials because of low budgets, fast shooting schedules, simplistic scripts and the nature of their intended audience. So we get gorgeous special effects, cliffhanger action sequences as well as stilted dialogue, flat script, negligible plot, missing details, inaccuracies and a lack of continuity."
And this fixes that stuff. Good download for ya.

* No more Franklin, I loved his character, but he just didn't fit with this cut. * Sally's character is no longer related in any way to the rest of the teens. Her kidnapping and murder(!) happens before the rest of the events. * Entire original beginning is gone, as well as the original ending. Movie starts with Sally busting into "The Cook"'s gas station. It then goes in an entirely different direction after that. * "The Hitchhiker"'s character is kept to a minimum. * The motivations behind the family of killers are changed. * Skinny Puppy's "Fritter (Stella's House)" is used in the soundtrack over a re-vamped "bone room" scene. * Tons of deleted footage has been re-instated. Including an all new credit sequence. * Running time cut down from 84 minutes to 25 minutes. * Score at the end has more reverb. * Aspect ratio changed from 1.78:1 to 1.85:1 for a slicker, different look. * The corpse monument is now shown over a setting sun versus in the middle of the hot afternoon. * Plus a few minor edits done for pacing.
Fanedit details:

Your intention for this fanedit:
To create an experimental version of the film. Shorter, more intense, yet still artistic. I did not intend to "replace" the original or "fix" it either. This is one of my ALL TIME favorite films! My sole purpose was to create a new experience for the hardcore Texas Chain Saw Massacre fan. Fun, scary and WAYYYYY different...this one begs to be viewed more than once!
Your way to achieve your intention:
Re-arrange many scenes, remove some characters, add additional music and deleted scenes as well as shorten the film up.

* Sony Vegas and DVD Architect. Edited on an HP Pavilion mx70 with Windows XP.
Additional Comment: My first release.

Conceptual improvements/advancements of edit over original: In 1998 Moustapha Akkad wanted to make a new Halloween movie. But the question was how do you do something new and something that wasn't done in the last set of movies? What do you do? You restart the series... Halloween: H20 was a way of restarting the series. Picking up after Halloween II and bring back Jamie Lee Curtis. Then came Halloween: Resurrection! Picking up after Halloween: H20.
So I wanted to make a true Halloween Trilogy. Using only the movies, "Halloween", "Halloween II", "Halloween: H20", and " Halloween: Resurrection" I have created three movies that fit prefectly into a Trilogy.

**************************INTRODUCTION*********************************** Pulp Fiction is a perfect movie, it cannot be improved. So what we did is just to give you a different view on the main storyliens by telling them chronological and split to two movies instead of one episodic movie. Now you get the full story of Vincent Vega (in which he won't die) and the full story of Butch Coolidge (in which Vincent will die). A few scenes had to go for context reasons.
***************************THE EDIT************************************** Ringo and Yolanda's beginning had to go, because the scene was overlapping with Jules and Vincent entering the coffee shop. Also gone is Vincent and Marvin entering the boxing arena. Some other scenes had to be shortened or just matched to contents. What you now get is two complete stories, all chronological and both just about one day in the life of the main characters. It works very well and the interesting thing about this edit is that it changes the atmosphere for several of the so well known scenes. We did not improve the movie a single bit, but we gave you, the audience, the chance to decide for a story to watch. The idea for this came from the director's cut edition of SIN CITY.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++ABOUT FANEDITS+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Some of you might think that the universe is solid and nothing can be changed the way nature has made it. Genetics should have proven you wrong already. But still some you believe that a movie, which is not so much of a universe in itself should not be altered,is supposed to be the way it is. The CBB group disagrees with you in that totally. When a director along with his executive producers and his producers and the many more people having a say in making a movie and being responsible or taking responsiblity for a cut, decide to have a movie this or that way, they have no idea if the outcome is good or will be liked or not. Quality cannot be just created, it is far more than a few good ideas put together. We all have seen great efforts who failed in the end (best example might be Matrix Revolutions). Now are we forced to accept that a movie stays the way it is? The movie stations make their personal cuts, the studios do, the producers do, the directors do and finally we have 10 different versions of the same movie material (e.G.Dawn of the Dead). Is this bad? No. It is very good this way, because the watcher, YOU, can decide, what you like best. And the CBB group thinks that touching movie material, altering it to get a new result, which could be highly enjoyable, not to joke around or make fun, but seriously tell the known story in an unknown way, can be considered for viewing pleasure and therefore done.

Conceptual improvements/advancements of edit over original: This is a combo of the both Mummy movies. This edit is trying to make the movie more twisted, But it doesn't seem to be.. It start out with the city of the dead intro from the Mummy, them going to Evie musaum, then to saving O'Conner from prison. Is more like a twisted game with her saving O'Conner. You don't know he's her husband till later in the movie. Making Evie more weird & strange. With a start of a chain reaction of the plegs & the raising of the mummy... We get some info from the dude in Egypt & head home to England. Mostly Mummy Reurns movie here on out.
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn - The Television Cut
A.K.A.: The ABC Network Broadcast & Extended Television version
The key feature, here, is the turbolift scene between Kirk and Saavik.
This version hasn't been seen in about 20 freakin' years. Alternate takes, in closeups - Saavik is hot, Kirk is charming (and well he should be), & the acting is better.
(The DVDs feature the dull theatrical version, a long master shot with blah performances).
This is director Meyer's first shot at his personal cut. While this tv version uses a dirty print, and the deleted scenes's audio isn't as polished as the Director's Edition dvd, the one scene is a real treat. This copy isn't ideal quality, but it's quite watchable.

When ABC aired the movie in the mid-80s, excised footage which explained Mr. Scott's relationship with midshipman Peter Preston (Ike Eisenmann) were re-inserted by director Nicholas Meyer himself, along with several other small scenes and character-driven moments.
"I put that together" Meyer told Cinefantastique Magazine in 1992. "It's ironic as a director of a feature I may not have final cut, but as a director of the television version, no one cares. Places were I was overruled, rightly or wrongly; I get to have the last word. It's very dangerous just to put things back for the sake of putting them back. I am not persuaded that artists are the best judges of their own work."

The following changes are from changes from my first Halloween: A Night in Haddonfield. Unfortantaly, this first version is no longer being offered.
1) The biggest change is that I fixed the format, now it is in 16x9 and it doesn't look sretched. 2) The opening/credits has changed (again), but only slightly 3) I used the the extended movie (uncut) up to where we see Jamie Lee is school. There I switch to the original movie. 4) I removed the ended where we see the different places that Michael has been, and jumped right in to Halloween II. 5) Here is where the main edits come from. I have removed the first death scene of that girl in the house talking on the phone. I felt there was no need for it. 6) I have removed the scene of that little girl and here mom haveing the cut in the mouth (slowed the movie down) 7) I removed all scenes of Jamie Lee and that EMT, execpt the last one near the end in the car. 8] A new ending (different from my first edit) this ending fits the triolgy better. I used the ending from "Halloween: Resurrection" of Michael in the morgue.
Extras: No room for extras
Conceptual improvements/advancements of edit over original:
I am a big fan of the Halloween movies. And I have always wanted to have a long version of Halloween. Seeing what ADM did, and after trying out my editing skills on my DS9 edit, I think this edit is the best I have done! I have found no errors in it at all. And everything flows together. Now, since I got these two "practice" edits out of the way, I am going to start on my Star Trek: Borg edition

Newly-shot scenes of Darth Vader supplement movie footage. For authenticity, David Prowse and James Earl Jones played Vader; and original crew (and set-makers) were employed.
Game: This takes place right before ESB. You and your fellow force-sensitive rebels are on a covert mission to prevent the incomplete Death Star II's side-mission. Vader is there--- try not to be the one to succumb to the dark side - as one of you will betray your comrades. (Role-playing hilarity ensues). If the rebels win, you stop the video, otherwise, you watch the rebel base's planet blow up.
There are 42 chapters, enabling you to skip the gameplay-timer interludes.

Star Wars: The Interactive Video Game Board was a board game created by Hasbro in 1996. It is notable for including a VHS tape of newly shot scenes of Darth Vader walking down the halls of the Death Star. For the new scenes, Hasbro brought back David Prowse to play Vader and James Earl Jones to do the voice of Vader. Some of the crew from A New Hope, including original director of photography Gilbert Taylor, returned as well to shoot the scenes.
Included here is the entire VHS broken down into 41 chapters to coincide with Vader's appearances.
Also included is a stills gallery containing photos of the box and contents as well as scans of the instructions.
Thanks for the discs, daveytod! I haven't got round to watching this yet, but it sounds neat.
Could someone get me Darksaber's covers for this? (PM me).
I want to include them in my newsgroup upload. Yeah, they're probably in Rik's covers torrent, but mine seems to be on one of my temporarily-disconnected internal drives, and it'll take about 2 more weeks to get the torrent from MySpleen.
This is kinda cool, a sort of video diary. I went through most of the extras, I have a few tours left to take.

Overlay always (games, video, capturing) requires the display (video card settings) to be set at either 16-bit or 32-bit color. So if you can't get 32-bit at high resolution, you could try 16-bit. Of course your calibration settings won't be as accurate at 16-bit.
