The film Elvis is a gut wrenching tale of a boy who wanted love that was taken advantage of by a cruel system.

In the TLJ, when Kylo turns around shirtless during his force meeting with Rey, add an Obi-Wan “hello there”.
And a wolf whistle
Right now I’m stuck between feeling numb, feeling down and seeing hope out of my funk just out of reach. In other words, it’s akin to Darth Vader staring at Padme’s grave and remembering a time when things felt less bleak.
The film Thor Love and Thunder is a fantastic story with the message that revenge only brings more revenge; that pain only brings more pain.
The film Sea Beast is a fantastic story that describes how you must reject the lies you are told in order to find true peace and equality.
Star Wars Imperial Commandos 501st by Karen Travis
The film Jurassic World Dominon is an excellent story about how one must respect nature or it won’t respect you.
I’ve long suspected that the capitalist vs socialist framing of countries is largely a distraction which confuses more than illuminates. I find that a simplifying factor for determining the virtue of a country is its level of democracy as opposed to autocracy. America has never been a true democracy but is quickly barreling towards oligarchy or even full autocracy and the enshrinement of minority rule.
Your experience in Venezuela sounds terrible, but comports with what I’ve read, which is that the country has been quite autocratic throughout the 21st century. It’s difficult for any country reliant on mineral or oil wealth to escape the pull of autocracy, as Russia aptly demonstrates.
The question every country must ask is whether it values people over power and profit, and if it is the latter, dictatorship inevitably follows.
Way too true
America is an authoritarian, imperialist, settler colonial shithole and has been so since Day 1. Just as evil as the British Empire that sired it.
Completely agree
I’m so ashamed to be an American and I hate what this country is becoming
Currently reading Hook Line and Sinker
My mood for the past few days is Batman mourning his parents in an alleyway while sad music plays and the camera spirals around him.
I’ve been feeling the same way this past weekend, especially since the overturning of Roe might affect my life due to the start of my transgender journey early this year. Even now, I’m not sure what I’m going to do if my own rights get overturned.
However, what I do know is that despair and hopelessness are not solutions. At some point, you have to let go of bitterness, and get up. I know how hard that is, but you don’t get anywhere by worrying and being miserable all day. You get somewhere by, to paraphrase the late Hunter S. Thompson, buying the ticket and taking the ride.
Too true, and you have my support in your journey

We’re all in the same boat.
Yeah. Sadly where many go wrong is that instead of loving themselves and being respectful to others, they become bitter and mean, and eventually entitled, and before you know it, you have an incel.
I agree. It’s always necessary to keep hope
The film Lightyear is an interesting story with the message of letting your mistakes happen.
It’s a bad idea because at this point in the story Stormtroopers are accurate and brutal soldiers who could easily dispatch two aging farmers.
It’s only later that they became a punchline.
I think it would only serve as a testament to how strong they are that two farmers could barely manage to kill them
When Owen and Beru are found burned to death in ANH, add a few dozen charred stormtrooper remains, so you know they had to have put up a real fight.
That’s actually not a bad idea
I yet again have had no luck in finding a partner.
Read The Bride Test and now I’m reading Star Wars Tales of The Bounty Hunters
I like a great deal of Pixar, but feel that there are some movies like Cars that aren’t my cup of tea.
No I see a coincidence
I think it’s the Mandela Effect
The film Holes is a really trippy movie with the theme of people are people no matter their circumstances.
80 with a strong breeze
For a show called Kenobi it doesn’t actually feature him all that much
