have you tried using GSpot codec information appliance?

It can be found here:

I havent used it myself, but it should give peak bitrate for a raw mpeg 2 stream. (no sure about vob files though)

I think we get different "versions" because Lucas is an incessant tinkerer. Since he could tweak Ep II further before the DLP release, he did. Some of the changes were good (Padme's "getting up" scene was more believable) and some were bad (I'm a Jedi, I know I'm better than this).

If there are different versions of Ep III, then it's highly likely that the DLP version is what will go to DVD.

I saw Attack of the Clones at the IMAX and I was blown away at the picture and sound quality over standard film. SITH will most likely show up at the IMAX around Christmastime just like Episode 2. BTW, there were a few different scenes between the Ep.2 IMAX versions and DVD. I dont know if the IMAX versions and the film versions were the same or not???? So would you guys say that DLP is way better than even IMAX?

HERE'S THE PART WHERE I REALLY LOST IT AND LET OUT A SIGH OF DISGUST:

Where Anakin and Obi-Wan are fighting (and surfing atop the lava) towards the end. Anakin says something about the Jedi being evil. Obi-Wan counters with some blah blah blah. And then Anakin goes: "Not from my point of view." That had to be one of the worst placed lines ever. Even fighting, their dialogue sounded like a high school debate club.

Question about torrents for you guys..

I have a file that's downloading suuuuuuuuuuper slow and it appears only one seeder. If someone else begins seeding the same file somewhere else, do i have to quit the current torrent and leach onto the new torrent? Or does it automatically connect? Will my partial file begin redownloading at the same point because it's the exact same file?

No one has a Howard the Duck or Harry and the Hendersons project in the works? I purchased Howard the Duck on DVD on eBay and the quality sucked! It only cost me $13 but still! I found a HTD enthusiast who sent me a copy of his, reportedly a conversion from a LD. It was the same conversion I bought on eBay!

Let me tell you, the conversion is no way from LD source! It looks like a washed out VHS, and one that had been played for awhile to boot! The sound was decent but that's it.

I'm thinking of purchasing the LD on eBay. I found 1 for sale here:

I wonder if one of the "elders" here would transfer it for me? $40 for the LD is a bit steep though, plus whatever they would charge to do the conversion. Anyone else interested in Howard the Duck, to make it worth while? Please email me at the address in my profile if you guys are.

Yes the NHL doesn't have the luxury of other sports and the current system is not working. I was just explaining the fallbacks of the NFL.. not the NHL. Some of you guys are giving the owners in the NHL too much credit. the thing is that the way things are going it really is the players, players liek lapoint wold hold out till they get salaries like that. there are only 2 or three owners to blame and those are the rangers, the wings, and the leafs. the thing is that the owners have no choice if a star player holds out then they have there hands tied. owners need players like that to get money, and get good teams. you are right though the owners are a lil at fault.

Lapointe only held out because boston made the ludicrous offer of $5 million. You tell me that you're gonna turn down 5 million? And who said Lapointe was a star player? Mid level at best. He had one good season and teams started going wild for him. At least the wings had a chance to match the offer, which they didnt thank god. A guy like that shouldnt be getting paid more than 2 million and even then....
