Oh NO!! Dear God, I honostly believe that it was just a coincidence. I mean, animation is animation. Eventually you are going to make an homage of some sorts with out going over the line, because in animation stuff like that is easily over looked and forgiveable. But now that I know this. Well...that is just too funny. And sad. Yet cute.
At least the director didn't try to make it too obvious. I think that is kinda neat. I mean, he is the director after all. Why not make a small cameo of one of your favorite characters.
Who's to say that I wouldn't do the same? If given the chance I would totally put in The Professor (from the PowerPuff Girls) as a minor background character. Why? Because I can. I won't give him any dialogue or anything, but I would totally put him in a Jedi outfit.

Ha ha! You noticed that too?! I was laughing so hard when I saw it! And then, of all things, that live action Scooby-Doo movie came on next. I just about burst my lungs.

But I'm not a real big fan of the Clone Wars. I just kept watching it thinking "wow, the fact that this is better than the movie...is really depressing." I mean, General Grevous is super bad-ass in the cartoon. Totally awesome. But in the movie, well, I just want to claw my face off whenever he is on screen (I just fast forward the DVD. It makes the movie about half as long when I do that.)

I highly doubt it. Any kind of cameo would require him to be in make up or something because he would instantly be recognized as Luke Skywalker (abit older). He might do some voices of some masked characters since he is, after all, a wonderful voice actor.

My best friend and I used to joke around in high school about how we know the world is going to hell when they make a Star Wars TV show.

We would laugh and laugh and laugh at that comment, and we thought we were the funniest people on earth when we invisioned Star Wars actually becoming a TV show. It would be like if they made a "Gone with the Wind" TV show or something. The very THOUGHT that Star Wars would become a TV show was so laughable that we were 100% confident that it would never happen. Pfft...Star Wars? A TV show? No, don't be silly. Star Wars is above that. It's a classic. That would never happen.

And now, we are all doomed to the hell we thought would never come...

Jedi Temple In ROTJ!?
Time
Why would the Empire allow the temple to stay up? I mean, to help wipe out the Jedi, you'd think that the Temple would be torn down. It was almost burned down during ROTS. And in the SE there is no jedi temple, that was only added for the 2004 release. To me, the Jedi temple was destroyed and no longer existed during the original trilogy.

ESB (OOT version) - My thoughts
Time
That is what bugs me so much about the SE. There actually ARE some elements I would want to keep. Things like watching the X-Wings take off from the Yavin moon. Now that was an awesome shot and much better than the little "pshew-pshew-pshew" effect of little white triangles flying off about 16 miles away.

But I guess I'll have to live with it. I would rather have Han shoot first and have little white triangles, than see greedo shoot first and totally bitchin' X-wing fighter shots.

But it still pains me.

ESB (OOT version) - My thoughts
Time
I always like the Emperor from ESB because you saw so little of him. He was hidden in the shadows. He was this mysterous being who held the ultimate power in the galaxy but you only saw him in Hologram form.

It wasn't until many years after I had seen ROTJ that I found out that the man who played the Emperor wasn't even the same man who was in the Hologram in ESB. I thought they looked the same to me. And he was creepy looking, I tell you what.

I haven't seen the "updated" version, but from what I have read it doesn't look good. The Emperor gives away too much information too soon. Plus he says a corny line like "Search your feelings, you know it to be true." Lame. That is what Vader says to Luke on Bespin. Now it just sounds like Vader is a copy-cat in dialogue (even though technially he said it first.)

Fondest Memory from the OT Days
Time
One of the best memories I actually have is with my brother. We watched the laser disk endlessly to the point where we know where all the breaks are when it is time to flip the disk over. Even now when we watch it on tape or burned DVD we always shout out what Luke says during the second time to flip. It's in the trash compacter scene when Luke shouts out "Hey open the pressure hatch to, where are we? Unit number 628-3827!" My brother and I would shout out those last four digits with our fists in the air as if it were a sports cheer, "3-8-2-7!" Time to flip the disk!

The other thing we would do play on our neighbor's trampoline. We would bounce each other with that double bounce trick that sends the other person high into the air, and we would take turns pretending to be Luke when he fell down Cloud City. Granted our fall wasn't as long, but it was still fun.

Ahhh...it was great. We spent the whole summer of 1997 playing Super Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi on his SNES in his room.

He also collected a TON of the space craft toys (there was this great Toys R Us at Navel Kadena...we lived in Japan at the time) and we bought so many of those. I only bought the X-Wing and the Shuttle Tyderium, but my brother had a whole butt load including the orange Cloud City cars. Unfortunatly he played with them in the tub and they got all...soapy, and the stickers fell off...and he lost all the little people inside. But mine were kept nice and are still on their stands. I loves my X-Wing!

I'm the bigger nerd in Star Wars than my brother, but those are some mighty fine memories.

Interesting Hypothesis of the Prequels Story from the Mid 90's
Time
I really didn't care for Luke's hair in ROTJ. I'm not sure why. It just looked flat. I've seen some behind the scenes footage of him rehearsing and stuff and his hair is a little bit longer and blonder. Slightly curled at the bangs in much the same way that it was in ESB (his hair was so adorable in ESB *squeeze*). I guess it looks a little dated. It looks like an 80's hair cut while the other 2 movies not so much (granted Luke did have a feather cut in ANH, but that style is back so it doesn't look dated right now.)

The Queen, hell yes. But in ROTS Anakin looks like his hair is plastered down. I know he has naturally wavy hair, but he looks like he has way to much gel in it most of the time and now it looks all crunchy and flat.

I was discussing the PT last night with my best friend and she and I are just pained by the fact that the PT has SO MUCH POTENTIAL and it just fell flat on it's ass. The movies simply do not deliver and that is so sad. God...why couldn't George have hired someone to direct? Why... God I wish I could invent a time machine and go back to the mid 90's and find a way to influence George to make better movies. I cry myself to sleep every night thinking about how horrible the PT turned out to be compared to what they could have been...

That's the philosophy I live by. For the longest time no body believe that the show "Invader Zim" would be put on DVD, but that was proven wrong. *hugs her zim dvd's*

I am noticing more and more people who they themselves are noticing that the trilogy has changed since they saw it when they were kids. Something in the hearts of us all are stirring and the word is getting out.

You know Lucas is going to make even more changes, and with each new change he makes the more aware the public becomes that this is not the Original Trilogy. Lucas is digging his own grave here.

TV Land puts the holiday special at # 59 on most unexpected TV moments!
Time
Yeah, I just found out that Mark was actually in the special. It's just that his hair is...all wrong. I don't understand. It looks so weird. And the make-up people put WAY too eye liner on him. I always thought it was some efeminate weirdo that played Luke. But damn! I know he had a car accedent a year before, but he looks nothing like he does in the other movies. It's so...weird. I mean, damn, it just. Doesn't. Look. Like. Him. And I don't know why! It's almost like we caught him in between his final reconstruction surgeries.

Don't tell me that this isn't freaky. Will someone please tell me what is wrong here? Is it the hair, the eye liner, what?
How did we go from this cutie:

Yeah, that got me thinking too. I mean Lucas spouts out this propaganda that Star Wars is really the story of Anakin Skywalker, but we all know that is bullshit. Aside from the fact that his kids are the main characters of the trilogy, the actual Star Wars theme is titled "Luke's theme." Seriously. The actual Star Wars theme that we all know by heart and is the background music to our dreams is also Luke Skywalker's theme. They are one in the same.

Leia has her own theme.
Yoda has is own theme.
Leia and Han have their theme.
The Ewok Village has a theme.
Vader has his own theme, which also happens to be the Emperial theme. They are one in the same.

The Star Wars THEME music, the very thing that is most recognizable as Star Wars where you can just hear one note and you know it is Star Wars time, is Luke Skywalker's theme.

Anakin's saga my ass.

Fondest Memory from the OT Days
Time
One of my best memories was the various sleep overs I would have with my friends. In 1995, I had by best friend spend the night and we watched ANH, ESB, and ROTJ all in one sitting. We slept on the sofabed and just watched Star Wars all night long. I was 12 at the time and a TOTAL Star Wars junkie. I still am of course. I don't think that she was as in to Star Wars as I was, but that's okay. She had never seen them, but she has seen that stupid Ewok movie or whatever. Huh. I think she liked it.

God those where the days. I remember laying in bed one night and thinking, "Wow, Return of the Jedi... that's the last one. Star Wars's final movie. The story of 3 movies. Ahhh..."

In 1997, I was hyped up on the re-release, excuse me, the re-altering of Star Wars and wanted to listen to the sound track so bad. My dad had the original LP soundtrack from 1977 and 1980, so I took those records and recorded them on to tape. I listened to that so much, and the funny part was that the record skipped during the Cantina song, that when I hear the song on my CD now I can't help but hear where the record skipped every time.
