Erikstormtrooper - That sounds like a very nice sequence to me that a part of me wishes could be somehow actually incorporated near the end of the movie somewhere, to emphasise the continuing future threat of the 'Empire'...although it's a bit of a dramatic addition to the already great original ending I know.
Hi all - I've only now had the chance to read up on this fab edit! I'd love to have this one. Is there any kind soul out there who has it, who will PM me to arrange to PIF it on to me?
I will then arrange postage and details, and will PIF it onto others. I'm in U.K. Thanks, and fingers crossed. :)
Came across this recently posted YouTube clip from Adywan's 'Revisited' with alternative lightsaber sounds more akin to the 'Prequels'. More 'PTWOOO's than 'sizzling' and an interesting side by side comparison I thought. I still prefer the original sound though..

Seven - that's a good summation of some great points and suggestions thus far, and makes me realise how much Adywan has to actually do on his 'Empire' edit after all to incorporate a lot of these! I wonder which ones he'll eventually decide to do...and am very interested in what he eventually does or does not to reconcile the differing looks of the various 'Wampa' designs...
Focuspuller - Those of us who are keeping an eye on your project are willing to wait as long as it takes for you to be satisfied with it. If it's worth doing, then it's worth doing well. Thanks for this, as I'm sure it will be great. :)
doubleofive - Thanks for the confirmation, that's what I thought. However, as it's such a different edit to Adywan's extended version, it seems a shame that no-one would do something for it for completists like myself.
Even if it's just a case of alteration to the wording of various existing covers perhaps...
Adywan (or anyone else) - Has anyone put up any specifically 'PURIST' version cover art, or disc art also, do you know? If so, where please? If not, there's a gap there surely...
By the way, am awaiting my own PIFed copy of the 'PURIST' version soon, and have 'g-rev' on board for one from me then. So the first next two to PM me can also get it from me. I'll post here who the other 2 are that will get them. I'm in U.K. but will accept from anywhere. :)
Adywan - It was great to finally get a sneak peek at your own proposed cover. It's looking mighty fine so far.
You are a very talented individual, and although some folks may have some differing ideas to your own on your edit, it is truly pathetic that anyone could end up spiteful about it when contacting you.
You have given everyone a Star Wars on STEROIDS! Your creative edit far exceeds what was given us as a 'Special Edition' previously as far as I am concerned, and I know that goes for many, many others here and elsewhere. Screw any haters, and bring on the rest of the saga in your own improved inimitable way!
Sluggo - I never noticed the difference in those shots before! Yes, bring back those red helmet markings please Adywan. ( or were they meant to be a different crew? - I can't remember ) - I must check this out tonight.
ADigitalMan - Thanks, and it's much appreciated. Some of us need to stand on the shoulders of giants where certain knowledge is concerned... but this will hopefully allow us to produce better work for the benefit of all.
ADigitalMan - Your guide is great, and I hope to be one of the many who will benefit from it in the future, so please DO update it with any information that you think will be of interest, and of help to us. Many thanks.
Sky_ - First the terrific 'Adywan' logo, now this... This artwork of the main characters was always my favourite poster. Your cover is TERRIFIC, and Darth has a red lightsabre on the artwork at last! I will definately be getting this as well as Adywan's own version. Great job!
vbangle - You are of course right. I've just realised that I should have put this up on the 'General Star Wars Discussion' thread. I'll stick it on there. Please pardon my error. Regards.
Thanks. And Adywan did indeed do some good work with the 'Visual Comparisons' shots.
By the way, I hope you type in that 'YouTube' video link I just put up on the 'General Star Wars Discussion' topic, to check out that real-life 'Imperial Walker' wannabe! It's scary...
