I am lazy...I have two kids...I am lazy
Well about about a link to the boobies then ferris man.
Is it me, or does the Wampa lok like he's taking a dump here?? Maybe you should add some Wampa poo-doo in this shot!

OK it's not the best quality, but hey!!
But man, all that screaming and whistling would seriously piss me off if I was in that cinema. I've never, ever been to see a film where the crowd acts like that. Must be an American thing. We Brits are much more reserved!! :)
Anyhow, enjoy it in all it's crapo-vision. Looks OK, bit hard to tell to

I watched that a few months back. Now that is a funny little thing they've done there!.
You really should give it a watch. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=cKTAytq6bYA&feature=related
Well, I'm still digging the show!
Are we getting into Back to the Future 2 territory here??

Yes, if this was not Star Trek and I think even non-Fans like the Smart factor in Star Trek. Now, a person does not really have to think deep to see the errors in what Bob Orci is talking about. Trek-fan like most sci-fi fans are smarter then most people and in time I think they will rip Bob Orci's bad alternate timeline universe ideas apart.
one thing that pops out is:
You have two universes-
1.) The Trek A Universe which is the Universe of all past Trek (TOS, TNG,DS9, VOY, ENT and the past 10 movies).
2.) The Trek B Universe which is the JJ Abrams Star Trek Universe.
Now, Nero is not really travels back in time in the Trek A Universe time-line. Nero is leaves the Trek A Universe and goes to the Trek B Universe. Trek B Universe is an alternate timeline which was made by own Nero actions. If Elder Spock leaves Trek A Universe to stop Nero actions in Trek B Universe then Elder Spock is damaging the time-line of Trek B Universe which was made by Nero actions. This is some thing that a character like the Elder Spock would think of. Also a character like the Elder Spock would know about the Many Worlds theory. The Many Worlds theory is the theory that anything thing we do, there are alternate action Universes and there uncountable alternate action Universes. Trek B Universe would just be one other alternate action Universes. The Elder Spock going to Trek B Universe and stopping Nero would be like going to the Mirror Universe and changing the history. A character like The Elder Spock would know that traveling to Trek B Universe is a bad idea, specially seeing like Bob Orci said that his own Trek A Universe continues normally.
Huh???
You, my friend, are thinking waaaay too much about this....and you haven't seen the film yet, so how do you know the story, outcome etc?!?!?!
ImperialFighter said:..you've gotten rid of that bloody annoying 'white blob' that mysteriously appears at the end of the cave shot! Brilliant. :)
I'm going to miss that 'white blob'. It's been part of my life for 28 years.
RIP White blob!
I dunno...Seems a good way to start afresh, and keep all the Trekkies happy about not messing with what's already been told!!
Oh...Have I broke the Internet?....I think I may have screwed things up for the IE people here...Cos I can't read my own posts at home...ooops!!
Forget it...Think I fixed it!!
Anyhow...
Ok, so I'm not as passionate about Star Trek as I am about Star Wars, so that's why I probably don't give two hoots if they screw up the continuity or whatever.
But if that's what your'e all worried about, all you need to do is youtube Star Trek mistakes http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=d1chtJQFQNs, and you'll see they've been screwing that up for years!
Hang on a sec
Look mate, just cos you got a beef with the way JJ is treating Star Trek, doesn't mean that it wont be an enjoyable movie for the average Joe, which if I'm not mistaken, is who it's aimed for.
I don't think it would matter to you who makes a new Trek film, all you fanboys (and I don't mean that in a disrespectful way) are going to bitch and moan about something or other, it's just the way it is. Just look at the way the PT got criticised. No one is ever going to make the movie you want to see. It'll never be right for you.
But for me, to answer your question the best way I can without being 'dumb' is simple.
I just want to see a great big sci-fi epic, that'll keep me interested in the story, hopefully make me laugh, and most importantly, just be a bloody enjoyable film. What more do you want from a movie.
.
.
Dude, how do you know if it's bad? What's bad to you, might be great to someone else.
Like Dayv said a few pages pack, there's a lot of bitching and moaning...and no one's even seen the bloody thing yet!!
Not being the greatest fan of Star Trek, I'm actually looking forwrd to seeing this flick.
I see Bale is doing his gruff Batman voice again!!
oops! Sorry
Isn't the re-release of Star Wars going to be in 3D. That's what I read somewhere a while back.
Look man, I love Star Wars. It's been part of my life sine I was 7 years old. I grew up with, it kept me company when i was on my own in my bedroom. I'll love it till the day I die.
But, just because this 'modern Star Wars' as you call it isn't quite as good as the originals, doesn't make it crap. I wasn't the biggest fan of The Phantom Menace (I was absolutely gutted coming out of the theater in 99) and for me Attack of the Clones is mostly a pretty bad film, but I love Revenge of the Sith. There's just something about that film that has me coming back again and again (I know why, but it's a long story). So, for me these cartoons are just very entertaining way to spend 30 mins on a Saturday evening after putting the kids to bed and settling down with a nice glass of the old vino.
Don't get me wrong, I can understand why some here hate it, but really, come on, it's just a cartoon show. It could have been a lot worse than it actually is. If you don't like it, don't watch it. Just stop all the slagging off. Some of us oldies (who were there in 77) actually like this show...and the prequels.
Ok rant over!!
;)
Kurgan said:PS: Why the push to insert the Lambda shuttle into ESB? It seems like a waste to use such a huge, unwieldy vehicle just to have Needa take a trip over to apologize. Every other time a shuttle was used it was for somebody important (Vader, Emperor) or was hauling a crew with equipment (Han & co.).
I though the exact same thing (but couldn't be arsed to reply). Needas shuttle to me, is a zip - zip from one Star Destroyer to another. Quick and easy.
By the time the Lambada shuttle drops from the hanger, opens it's wings, turns it's lights on etc..etc..Vader would have been standing there holding his cock for hours!! Don't really want to keep the Sith Lord waiting longer than you have to!!
Ziz said:Then you'll need to mount it on the wall up where they can't reach it.
Yeah I know, but that'll mean totally rearranging my living room, and with all my wires hidden under the wooden flooring, just not an option. Should of thought about that before I planned. Oh well!! Just have to wait a few more years till they've grown up.
Who knows, by then I'll be able to kit myself out with all the latest gadgets for about £200...ha!!...Then something new will come out I bet!
Maybe, but if your going to buy a new TV, you may as well get one that's bigger and better than what you already have, and also get a full 1080 spec big bastard!! In the UK a 40" Sony Bravia cost around £600 - £700 depending where you go.
Still, £700 for a TV and around £250 say for Blu ray + a few films, you're looking close to a grand. Which for some, including me, is a little out of the price range. An then there's the subscription fee to the HD service through satellite which is an extra £10 a month I think + the one off charge for the HD box.
I have so many mates with big bloody plasmas or LCD's with no blu-ray and no HD service. I mean what's the point. Everthing they watch looks all pixalated and shit. I'd rather stick with what I have for now.
Besides, I can't really get a flat screen TV just yet, as my kids like to put their sticky fingers all over our current TV. I'm forever cleaning that bloody screen!
There's also the point that some have missed. In order to fully appreciate the greatness of Blu-ray, you still have to spend shit loads on a HD ready TV. Now that really is the sting in the tail!!
Calm down man.
