It's not all the srround stuff that sounds shit.

It's just scenes where there's a lot of dialog.
eg...Between Tarkin and Leia...I think you can really tell what's been dubbed and what was spoken on set. All original stuff, but it just stands out a mile now. Just seems to be a lot of hissing in the background.

I'll have to watch it again...t'was very stoned...day off work an all!!

Empire and Jedi are fine......Just ANH seems to suffer the most.

But the new Fett voice...now, man, that's a shame.
Big mistake!!

Oh and when the Stormtrooper bangs his head there's a "boink" sound now too!!

Well I got my DVDs yesterday.

Good??

Bad??

ANH - Well, looks good, but theres a lot of bullshit going round here about fixed up lightsabres.
Bollox!!

Luke's is whute and looks the same as it always does.....

Ben and Vaders are more colourful, but that's about it. Yeah Ben's stick is now blue, and Vader's is red....good!

Now, not sure if this was in the SE or not, but there's a new piece of dialog. When the stomies are looking in the falcon, just before they leave, there's a "It's empty" line. Crap!!!



And the sound in ANH is inconsistant. The dialog spoken between Leia and Tarkin sounds so shit, hard to explain, but shit!!

Padme dies giving birth!
Leia remembers "Feelings" - "Images" - She's stronge in the force!
"A Jedi's weapon, much like your fathers" - Meaning that only Vader has the weapon of the Jedi - Luke will have Anakins Lightsabre that he uses in 3.
"That boy is our last hope" - Probably meaning that Luke has already started his traing - Leia has not. She doesn't even know she has the Force running through her. Obi just probably thought it was too late for to start training Leia, given her age!
They were hidden seperatly to protect them. Two kids strong in the Force together with Yoda is too easy to find.
And maybe Anakin didn't even know about Leia being born. - Actually he didn't know!

Well thats my thoughts on the subject anyway!!

See, not all bad!

There's some things I've seen from 3 that look very cool.

Little spoiler coming up........























We see Anakin in the hallway of the Blockade Runner Tantive 4 from ANH. The pic I've seen is him standing there. I imagine it's from the last half of episode 3, probably looking for Obi - Wan or something, which I think makes the whole scene in ANH all the more interesting.
Only because it seems now Vader has already been on this ship, walked around it 18 years before. Knows the layout, I dunno, I just think little things like that, if you really think about it, is a very clever, a very well done thing to do.

Also......

I also like the way Palpatine becomes Emperor. At first I thought they should of had most of the stuff that happened in AOTC in TPM, but when I tink about how the story unfolds, I personally think George is telling a very good story. Not what I had in mind....And I know he's saving all the good Palps/Sidious stuff for 3, but still good!
The actual Story of the PT is very good, clever. Like I said somewhere else, on paper this story, tied in with the OT, is one very good and interesting piece of work.
I'm trying really hard to think of some other good points. When I lie in bed trying to sleep...(now this is going to sound very sad....but bare in mind I'm usually stoned when I'm thinking all this shit).....I think about how the PT fits together with the OT. See, when I do this, the Anakin Ghost thing makes more sense, also so do a lot ot plot points in Episodes 1 & 2.
Man this is so annoying...I can't think of a single thing...But as soon as I go to bed, all kinds of thoughts are going to go around my head. I'll think "I must post this and that". When I wake up I'll forget everything........

Oh well!!

Now I'm rambling


PS...Iv'e noticed I've said clever and good quite a few times.....

Ign made a list of the changes and they reported new Hoth footage. They have reviewed the DVDs I don't know if they are just mistaking it for footage always there in the Special Edition.



Don't suppose you can find any pics of this Hoth stuff....Is it Troops battling or what!??!
Interesting stuff........

One more week..sort of, to go......We get the DVD on the 20th here in the UK...Ha!

There's alot of bashing of the PT here, so I thought I'd start a thread about whats good!

I don't expect many replies, but there are some good interesting plot twists in the PT that are worth mentioning!


I can't think of any just yet! Give me a couple of hours, I think better at night when I'm a little gone, I'll come up with a few.


Here's one to start.

I think it's very clever the way he made the future Stormtroopers out of Clonetroopers who are basically good guys in 2. To have the bad dudes in the OT start out as good guys is quite clever.
