Well.........

Because we had a baby boy born on the 21st, I've had a lot of time off work (actually I go back on Thursday) so I've started to show my son the ways of the force..actually it's given me a lot of time to watch the DVD's again, and watch them with the commentary...and listen to the soundtracks...start 'em young....God I love being a dad:

The point is..well there's two, but one of the things I've noticed while watching 'Empire of dreams' again is that all Lucas is trying to do is make the best films possible. So the best way he can do that is by using CGI instaed of puppets. It's obvious he was never happy with some of the puppets that were created.
One of the things he actually says is that he cannot get what he wants by just using puppets.
I know some of the CGI looks fake, but fuck me, some of the puppets look even worse..(Gammorean Gaurds for example).
I don't think it's the CGI thats bad,I think it's in the context in which they are being used that's shit.
Ok not all the time, sometimes the CGI is terrible, but I just don't think that in this day and age, he'd be able to get away with using just puppets.

Sorry if this doesn't make much sense, but the lack of sleep is starting to get to me!


The other point is....

While watching the commentary on Jedi, there was a bit about Ewoks.
Now I wish Jimbo was still around (in the words of Jimbo.."How can the fucking Ewoks over-power the Clones Blah Blah), coz there was a bit were they said that although it looks like the Ewoks were beating the Empire, it was actually the Empire kicking the shit out of the Ewoks.
I think we all need to sit down a watch Jedi again. It's true, the Ewoks were getting there ass whooped. It was only when Han opened the shield door and eventually destroyed the shield generator that the Empire lost the battle. The Ewoks really only helped the Rebels, they didn't actually beat the Empire..

Man, now I'm talking shit...But you know what I mean right?

Watch the Jedi comm, and you'll see what I'm on about

2 weeks to go and still no name........Man I'm prepared for all of this....Jesus, I still haven't even finished off the baby's room yet either!!!

Is it wrong to name your kids after a Star Wars character?

I ask this because I'm expecting my first born in a couple of weeks now and both myself and my girlfriend are stuck for names.

She keeps asking me if there are any good SW names, but to my understanding they are all pretty dorky shit.
Apart from the obvious Luke etc, the names suck.
That is untill she heard Leia...She likes Leia...

I'm not too sure???
Is it cruel to call a kid that? Obviously if it's a girl. For a boy I have no idea.

Given the chance, and if you were a super SW fan, would you name your child after one of your heroes??
Typing this shit makes it sound even sadder......

Is it cruel??....Everyone who knows me, know my love for SW, so I think it might just be the tackiest thing I could do...Who knows??
