RogueLeader's Rogue One Edit (* unfinished project *)
Time

RogueLeader said:

Here are two clips from the edit. The first is the Yavin IV briefing room scene where they tell Jyn the plan. Now, the plan is simply to rescue the pilot and bring him to the Alliance. They’re unaware that Galen actually sent the pilot.

The second clip is the first few minutes of Jedha in the film. The first half shows the removal of K2SO’s line “That doesn’t sound so bad to me.” It isn’t a bad line, but because we are expecting a quippy line, the scene might actually play funnier if he does the unexpected and says nothing. They originally showed this scene last year at Star Wars Celebration without sound, and I think it played funnier with the audience.
The second half is Bodhi and Saw’s first scene in the film, followed by the trimmed Bor Gullet scene.

Two things I would add to this take out the weird squid scene and the first clip cuts way to quickly it needs to have an audio fade or a wipe transition

(…) because you seem to be confusing bluray and vcd. Understandable since they are practically the same thing.

WHAT??? Blu-Ray and VCD are not the same thing???

VCD is a video CD blu ray is a completely different format
So if I were you I would wait for the digitized version the 35 mm prints of the special edition

NJVC Custom Blu-ray Set of Harmy’s Despecialized Editions now available on Mega

This may sound like heresy to some, but I’d be interested in seeing if there could be a DVD-DL version of the NJVC sets. I have the blu-rays (obviously) but I think some people might be surprised just how many individuals don’t own blu-ray players and have no interest in buying them.

NJVC and Harmy may feel that this would compromise the quality of the sets too much. There would certainly be quality loss, so perhaps its not the best idea.

But on the other hand, I see no harm in a member trying their hand at tinkering. If the end product doesn’t turn out well, nobody has to download it.

I am making my own menus the files will be around 25gb if anyone is interested and this will be easier to download I guarantee That

I feel like the fans just hate on it for no reason I feel like all of the complaints are nit picks let’s be 100% Honest everyone in Star Wars is a mary sue luke, Anakin, Obi Wan ,Han , even Leia is a Mary Sue everyone in Star Wars is a Mary Sue I think we should just hold everyone to the same Standard

This is my favorite type of argument:
"ALL of the Star Wars movies are crap, so why pick on this one?"
Used to just be a PT fan thing. Not anymore!

I am trying to say hold all the characters to the same Standard

The Star Wars the clone wars the prequel trilogy (* unfinished project *)
Time

I decided to make a edit of the prequels but I decided to changed the order of the flims It will go
Episode 1 The Rise of Power
Episode 2 The Clone Wars
Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith Remastered

Changes
Episode 1 is going to be 2 hour and 33 minutes its a edit of the phatom menace and attack of the clones, it makes those two movies and turns it into one flim.

Episode 2 I want it to be the battle between mual and obi wan. I want to show Anakins slow turn to the dark side in the prequel trilogy I aways thought it was way to sudden so I want to fill in those gaps length 2 hours and 39 minutes

Epsiode 3 will have a lot of minor and major changes and some scenes with anakin skywalker will be dubbed, I am replacing whining with anger.

A new opening to revenge of the sith i want to show the power of general grievous crashing his ship into the Senate and capturing the chancellor and i want to show dark side anakin by killing dooku.
Instead of obiwan and anakin vs dooku it will be anakin and obiwan vs darth maul.

Sources anti cheese edits and the clone wars 2008 show and Darth Mual Apprentice fan flim.

Letterbox to Anamorphic?
Time

mikeb960 said:

Hi all, I wanted to ask if anyone has ever restored a film from letterbox to anamorphic in DVD format? Some studios release dvds in letterbox format to quickly release the dvds in retail. Now that majority of everyone has a 16x9 television, letterbox makes the image really small on a screen. Two movies I know of in particular have been restored to anamorphic but on blu-ray only. “Barry Lyndon” and “Lolita”. If there’s a way to put it onto a dvd5 or dvd9 I’d like to know if possible. Thanks in advance!

If you don’t want to burn you can just buy a Xbox 360 you can go into dvd settings someone made a tutorial on how to https://youtu.be/LtbsSvyl2bY

People never point this out during the fight Luke hits Vader’s lightsaber not the blade the hilt so Vader lightsaber should be cut in half so when Luke hits vaders light saber cut off half of it using photo shop and shift Vader hand up that would be a cool effect

I think I did see that mentioned somewhere in here much earlier in the thread. It just needs to be fixed though so he hits the blade instead or it’s not noticeable that he accidentally hits the hilt, not change the story itself 😉

.Val

I know it’s not a story change just a cool Cosmetic change and it could be symbolism for how broken of a man vader is

Disney to buy 20th (21st) Century Fox? (Disney has now bought them - 14 Dec '17)

Going to be honest–
Besides X-men, what popular movies/ franchises does 20th century own? This is actually a serious question. I have no clue.

Off the top of my head…

The Day The Earth Stood Still

A good chunk of Marylin Monroe’s body of work.

Alien and the Predator films.

The Die Hard movies.

Planet Of The Apes original films, tv series and reboot.

M.A.S.H tv series and film.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

The 1960’s Batman tv series and feature film.

Every Irwin Allen 1960’s SF/fantasy tv show. Lost In Space, Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea, Land Of The Giants Also his biggest and best disaster flicks such as the original *The Poseidon Adventure.

And a back catalog of old movies and tv shows as impressive as MGM or Warner.

Something I don’t think any of us have pondered before. Who owns the Holiday Special? Fox or Lucasfilm?

X-men
Deadpool
Kingsmen
The god awful chipmunk movies
Fantastic 4
Star Wars (1977)
That is all I can think of off the top of my head because you mention the ones I would mention
And yes Disney owns the holiday special because abc produced it
